Midweek combo and a little toot!!

Well here I am again, just like a bad penny (or is that smell???) lol, and I have a really pretty image to show you all. I have finally got me some totally delish manga stamps by Sugar Nellie - ooooh my mum is going to want this one I think!! I just couldn't resist her, isn't she just so pretty :o)

I have dug out some fab papers from last year - Papermania's Naughty or Nice pack and I just love the bright colours. I have also used some delish new flowers too that a sweet friend picked up for me at Ally Pally last weekend - thanks babe I love them :o)

So, what challenges can I link to this card .....

Die Cut Dreams - Ribbon & Trims
Stamp with Fun - A sketch
A spoonfull of sugar - Christmas
Creative Card Crew - All that sparkles
Paper Play - Spot This
Stamp Something - Favourite layout/sketch

Wow - I am getting rather good at these combos, lol .... aren't I naughty :o)

Ok,now I have some fabulous news to share with you all. When I got home today I opened my emails and wow, I had the most lovely message from Janet at Pink Gem Designs asking if I would like to be a Guest Designer for the next 3 months.

Well of course I said yes immediately, I didn't even have to think about it! I am so excited and cannot wait to get started :o)

La-La Land Weekly Challenge

Hi there, here I am a little later than expected - I have been at university all day so been ever so busy exercising my brain (ouch, lol). Anyway, it is time for another fun challenge on La-La Land and we have a mega combo for you devised by all the Guest Designers .......

Karin - Two different patterned papers
Kimmi - Color Combination: Strawberries (red), Chocolate (brown) and Cream
Marcea - Embossing (dry or heat)
Paul - Scallops
Sue - Paper Piercing

Now I have to admit that at first it looks like a mammoth task but actually, we incorporate most of these things on our cards without realising so please do not be scared hehehe. I have used another of the newly released stamps, this time it is Pirate Lala from the Halloween Collection. I have followed the sketch from this weeksFriday Sketchers .

A closer look at the elements of this weeks challenge - you have to look closely for my embossing (on my nestie) but I promise it is there :o) The wonderful papers were in my DT package for Irina and are just amazing - sorry but I do not know who makes them but wow, how cool are they!!

A look from a different angle, hope you like it! Have a great evening ..... I may be back later with another card for you all - I have been spending my pennies :o)
Bye for now xxx

Cute Christmas combo and mystery sketch ....????

Good evening my lovelies .... how are you all this evening? I have just watched last nights X Factor after managing a sneaky night out round York last night - tut tut, naughty me, lol.
I thought I would share this card with you that I made at the weekend. I just had to order some of the gorgeous new stamps by Gillian Roberts from the lovely Tracy at Dies To Die For . I think this is one of the nicest (or should that be micest, hehe) christmas stamps I have seen this year so far!

Here are a few challenges that my card fits ....
Pollycraft - S words ... spots, stripes, swirls
Secret Crafter - Animal Antics

Well I am stumped - I followed a sketch for this card and can I find it now to link to it. I guess this is pay back for laughing at Rach last week (blush). I have been right through all my challenges and cannot find it anywhere. I think it must have changed now which means I have missed it .... I am sure I haven't though. Oh well, that will teach me for not writing it down, lol.
I meant to say that these delish papers are also available from DTDF .... they are by MME and just delish. There are also loads of new Prima flowers at only £1.45 a pack - these are the cheapest I have seen online so far - you better hurry if you want to grab a bargain, they are just gorgeous!
Enjoy the rest of your evening, hope to catch up with you all soon :o)
EDITED - Thankyou Pauline - you were right, it was the challenge for Just Christmas and Birthday Cards .... oh well, better late than never, lol. The sentiment is whiff of joy - isn't it fab :o)

Anyone for Anya - A sketch!

Good morning to you all, I hope you are all having a great weekend so far. Sunday again so that means it is time for another fun challenge on Anyone for Anya . This week we have a fabby sketch by the lovely Dawny for you all to follow.

I bought these delish papers last week and just had to use them for my card - I now have them in 3 different colours, lol, they are so gorgeous. The aqua in them made me think of this little beauty - Mermaid Anya available from Tracy at Dies to Die For .

I have added some dew drops to her hair - don't you think they look like little bubbles .... so cute! The sentiment has been printed using my computer and cut using my ribbon tag dies (also available from DTDF).
Remember to check all the other DTs cards - they are just gorgeous - we also have 3 fab GDT's too so please say hi to them and leave them some love.
Edited to add challenges ...
Paper Play - Spot This
Have a great Sunday xxx

PBSC - scrummy colour combo

Woohoo, it is the weekend at last AND the sun is still shining - looks like a perfect day ahead :o)
We have a delicious challenge for you on Penny Black this week ...
CHOCOLATE, LEMON & PINK

I have used another vintage PB image this week, I knew it would be perfect for this week and had so much fum colouring her. It hasn't quite turned out how I wanted. I had about 6 different papers that I kept shuffling around and I ended up with these but .... I forgot to add my ribbon along the bottom - doh!

These are so easy to colour and have such delightful little faces. The butterfly and little flower are from my September kit from Crafty Feeling , I just love these kits - scrummy!
Well, I hope you have a fab day - especially if you are off to Ally Pally this weekend (lucky things). A friend of mine has a little shopping list and has promised to pick me up a few bits and pieces ... thanks hun :o)
Edited to add challenges...

Just Magnolia - colour combo

Morning peeps, oooh it is Friday and I am so glad. I have been exhausted this week after my cold so am longing for a long lazy sleep :o)
You all know that Friday means it is time for another fab challenge from us all at Just Magnolia and this week we have a delish colour combo for you all ...

PINK & GREY (PLUS THE OPTION OF BLACK IF YOU WISH)

Aaaah, this is now a real favourite combo for me - I just loved making this card. I have used another stamp from the Fall kit, I can't help but love Tilda, I know I say it every week but she is so sweet. I have followed the sketch on this weeks challenge by Truly Scrumptious and I love it - such a simple but pretty sketch and so easy to use.

I have used my copics again. I have to say I just love to colour with these and wonder how I managed before I got them. My poor pencils are now feeling rather neglected, might have to use them soon (but I doubt it, lol)

The brads are so touchy feely - they are little velvet ones that were in a mixed pack by Papermania and I really do like them - had them for ages so nice to use them at last. That's your lot from me for now, remember to pop over and visit the other cards by the rest of the DT - they are amazing! Have a lovely day xxx

Lili of the Valley - A sketch for you all

Hello, the start of another day and time again for a brand new challenge on Lili of the Valley . Thankyou to everyone who played along with our colour challenge, it was lovely to see so many of you playing along. This fortnight we have a fabuolous sketch for you all to follow.

I have used one of the super cute christmas teddies - this little guy is called Balancing Act and is the amazing price of only £3.50. The new range are all such fabulous value for money don't you think! I have opted for non traditional colours this time and just love the soft lilac and grey combo.

Isn't he just too adorable :o)
I hope you can all join us - remember you can combine challenges and you do not have to use a LOTV product to play (although we would love to see them if you do). Have a great day!

La-La Land Crafts - Paper Piecing

Hello, wow it is time for another fun challenge on La-La Land and this week the lovely Sheila is hosting our challenge and she has chosen ....

PAPER PIECING

I hung on for my DT package to arrive and when it did I had to rush like mad to get my card made so I got stuck right into it. Now, maybe it is because I am blonde, or perhaps because I have been unwell .... or maybe it is just one of those weeks for me because I had finished my card and was about to photograph it when I suddenly had an awful thought ..... eek, just what is this weeks challenge!! I kid you not - I was so keen to use my new stamps I just jumped right in. So ...... excuse the rather lame paper piecing on my card ... look closer .... can you see it???? Closer still ......

..... yep, now you see it - I have paper pieced Wizard Maya's 'stick'!! Sorry, I know it is pathetic but I totally forgot to do it, what can I say ..... sorry, lol. The brand new range of Halloween stamps are now available to purchse from the web shop and they are all just fabulous!
I have followed this weeks sketch from Creative Inspirations , another new challenge for me. Have a wonderful afternoon - off to do a bit of colouring - isn't this just the best hobby ever!

Monday 21 September 2009

Young and fun ..... my card .... not me, lol!

Hi there, well here is a surprise card from me. I was settled on the sofa last night when I suddenly remembered a lady at work had asked me for a card for a teenager's birthday - no flowers!!!! I couldn't remember which day this week it was needed for so I dragged my lazy butt up to my craft room and got straight to it!

These images from Charmed Cards are perfect for teens - so funky don't you think! Love her boots and hat, so cool :o)
I have paper pieced her dress and am really liking the pink/grey combo - girly but not too girly!
I found a new(ish) challenge blog at the weekend so I just had to play along - especially as this week on Crazy 4 Challenges it is a sketch - my fave type of challenge :o) The DT are just amazing and I really recommend you have a peep and join in too.

Well that is it for me for now - had my buttie and about to head back to work in a minute. Hope you all have a great afternoon xxx

Anyone For Anya - Funky Flowers

Good morning, how are you all? I am feeling much better today - had a really nice night last night at the party but woke up at the crack of dawn this morning so I have been up for hours!
We have a lovely challenge for you this week on Anyone For Anya ...

FUNKY FLOWERS

Well, what a struggle for me - you know how I NEVER use flowers, lol ..... ok, yes ... I love flowers so I am a happy girlie today. It would have helped though if I had paid attention to the fact it is 'funky' and not fabulous - somehow my poor brain got all confused (doesn't take much by the weekend!!). But ... there are certainly flowers galore so I hope you don't mind my blonde moment :o)

I have used one of my new Miss Anya Dressy stamps that I bought from Tracy at Dies to Die For - isn't she lovely! I have coloured her with my copics to compliment the beautiful Dovecraft papers - wow it is ages since I used these!

My flowers are a mixture from Wild Orchid Crafts , Crafty Feeling , Poppicrafts (no longer sell blooms) and my lovely buddy Terry sent me the large rose - how lush!
My card also fits Charisma Cards theme of flower power too :o)
Have a fab Sunday - hope you managed to squeeze a bit of crating in - I certainly will be. xxx

PBSC - Lace & Pearls / Singalong Saturday

Cough, sniff ..... hello, yep only me and I have a really horrid cold :o(
So I am going to feel sorry for myself all day because I feel so grotty - I am meant to be going to an engagement party tonight so hope I feel a bit better and I hope my nose doesn't look too much like Rudolph's (typical when I want to look nice). Enough of my moaning, we have a gorgeous challenge for you on Penny Black this week .....

LACE AND PEARLS

As soon as I heard the theme I thought of weddings - and what better PB image than this vintage stamp. This is the first time I have coloured it and I wasn't sure about colours but I think it has worked out fine in the end. The BG papers are just lovely with all the beautiful swirls and I have used a peachy coloured pearlescent card which really shimmers IRL.

The gorgeous lace and lace flowers (which were a ribbon until I chopped it up, eek) were part of the lovely RAK sent to me by Terry (thanks hun). What perfect timing with this lovely gift because they were just what my card really needed! My usual adhesive pearls to the corners help complete my card.
My card also fits with this weeks Cupcake craft challenge which is pearls and swirls .... perfect!
I hope you all have a chance to play along with us this week, PB challenges are always fun, and with so many images to choose from they are always so different. Have a great Saturday!

-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-

I couldn't think what to play for you today so I have chosen one of my fave songs - hope you like it .... you really need the sound up loud (and a couple of drinks are optional, lol)

Have a great day!

Just Magnolia - Bev's sketch

Good morning everyone, woohoo it is Friday!! I have the day off today because I had to go to University on Wednesday .... what a fab start to the weekend! So, here we are again which can mean only one thing - another new challenge on Just Magnolia and we have a gorgeous sketch by our lovely Bev.

I am really loving my Making Menories papers this week, they are so pretty and come in such delish colours. I have used another new stamp from my Magnolia Fall kit - I think everyone adores this image .... another scrumptious image!

Instead of using a ribbon I have just added these pretty flowers down the side of the centre panel, I do not know how I used to manage before I bought my roses - funny how you fall in love with certain products isn't it!

A view from a different angle - and that's it! I am going to get my cards made for the weekend now - got the whole day to myself to play so that is nice. Hope you all have a lovely day today too xxx
