Lady Luck
Hi everyone. It has been a few days since my last post because I have been on nights. All finished now though so that is good.
Today I want to share a bracelet I have made for Beading Friends Forever challenge – pop over if you love making jewellery because each month someone will win £15 to spend at Beads Direct.
So I discovered this beautiful tutorial on Youtube and I have to say I adore this bracelet.
I have made this with gorgeous fresh water potato pearls and Swarovski chaton crystal montees. It is so pretty in real life and HEAVY!
Here is a closer look at the detail of the design.
I am definitely going to make more of these but I think I might have a bit of fun with brightly coloured glass pearls and see what it looks like.
My craft room is almost finished now – just curtains and shelves to go up. I have moved in and am happy up here. I shall share some more pics tomorrow of the progress.
If you would like to know what I used to make my bracelet here are the picture links …..
If you would like to buy any of my jewellery please pop over to my crafting Facebook page.
See you all tomorrow xx

Cocktail ring & bling!
Wow, I had no idea it has been so long since my last post. Huge apologies. I really need to try and post at least once a week. I have been pretty busy this past couple of months with work. I have also just got back from a little time in Spain enjoying the sunshine which was lovely. Craftwise I am still enjoying my beading although I must admit I think the old Copics may come out soon because I think I am missing my papercrafts a little …… watch this space!!!
Ok, so I have a couple of things to share today. These are my makes for this months challenge on Beading Friends Forever. For those of you who do not know what this is let me tell you – it is a jewellery making challenge blog that I set up a few months ago. I would love it if you took part. Every month there is a tutorial and also a theme to follow plus one person will win a £15 voucher to spend at Beads Direct. We also have a really active Facebook group which I am so proud of. This is full of the most wonderful crafters who share inspiration and support every single day.
Here is what I have made for this month …….
Anything Goes – Hugs and kisses bracelet
I really love this pattern and usually make it with all pearls. This time though I thought I would mix it up a bit and add some crystals. This is so pretty in real life. The pearls and crystals are Swarovski and are so lush.
All my products are from Beads Direct which I just love to order from ….. here is what I used….
seed beads and peridot crystals no longer on website :(
Now then, here is my ring that I made – this is the fi
rst time I have ever made a ring and I am so pleased with how it turned out – what do you think???
This is fabulous and chunky but can be made much smaller using smaller beads. The tutorial is by Beadingful nights and the link is on the BFF blog.
Have a great weekend everyone and see you all later xxx

A double whammy from me ….. BFF April challenge
Good afternoon everyone, ofh dear I am running verrrry late. I have just finished the post for Beading Friends Forever and I have just realised I haven’t even done this post. So I am hoping to do a super quick post and then go in later and fill in the gaps, links etc.
It is the 3rd month now of my little baby, Beading Friends Forever and I am so proud of how it is going. There have been so many fabulous entries and I have met lots of new crafters. There are 2 themes again this month – a tutorial showing how to make an 8 warp Kumihimo braid and the theme which is to create a jewellery set. Thanks to Beads Direct for sponsoring the challenge. Here are my pieces ……
This is my bracelet and earring set created with Czech fire polished crystals and Chinese crystal bicones ….. sparkly!!!!! The bracelet is made using triangle weave stitch – a new pattern for me, and I just loved making it. I have kept the earrings very simple. I may make another pair of earrings which are fancier – if I do I will post them on my blog for you to see.
My Kumihimo bracelet was quite a fiasco. My first idea failed, my second idea saw me running out of beads. I hated my 3rd attempt and so here is my 4th attempt which I do like. I am going to try a few variations of Kumihimo though so be prepared to see a few attempts over the next few weeks.
I hope you can join us this month. It would also be great to see lots of you on the BFF facebook page, we have lots of fun over there. See you later with my product links xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

BOGOF …… oops!
Afternoon everyone. Sorry if I sounded rude in my title but what I really wanted to say was two bracelets in one post!! I should hopefully be fast asleep right now because I am half way through my nights shifts. I hope blogger is behaving because it is time for a brand new challenge on Beading Friends Forever (or BFF as we like to call it). If you do not know what it is then I will quickly explain. I decided to start a challenge blog for beaders because basically there were none around that I could find. So we are now onto our 2nd challenge and I am so excited. I have had such wonderful feedback. I have also set up a Facebook page too which you can join here and it is such a fabulous group of friendly people all sharing inspiration, tips and friendship.
Anyway onto the challenge. Full details are on the BFF blog if you want to join in.
My first bracelet is following the tutorial. Well, this did take a bit of time to make and rather a lot of seed beads but I really like it and I am pleased I learnt a new type of bracelet. I dare say a few people will curse my choice this month but hey, it is a challenge blog isn’t it and we have a month to create it lol. It would be dull if the same type of bracelet was chosen each month.
This is a double spiral bracelet. I bought all my supplies from Beads Direct – I promise to link them all up when I wake up.
My second bracelet is for the ‘Favourite colour combo’ theme. I do really like black and pink when I am making jewellery and I have to say it is one of my more popular colour selections with orders that I get.
These are black agate and pink jade beads – semi precious and lovely! The charm is a Swarovski Elements charm and really adds some bling factor.
I really hope you pop over and give us a chance – it would be great to see even more new faces this month. Thanks, have a great weekend ahead whatever you do xxxx
