Hurry hurry , less than an hour to go for blog candy!

So you all better get your skates on and pop over to Toni's blog and leave a message to be in for a shot of her candy. Good luck to you all

Animal Magic Cutie

Well what do you know .... managed another combo!!! Must be on a roll tonight or just playing catchup, lol. I think pink and green is one of my fave colour combos now, I really think they go together so well. Challenge #10 by A spoonful of sugar was to include an animal on your card. This was such a real cute stamp that I couldn't resist making it up. The great sketch was from cutie Sunday and I will certainly be back to have a look at next weeks challenge. Almost forgot to mention, my oval nesties arrived yesterday - woohoo!!!! Just waiting for my circles to come now .... shouldn't be too much longer now ;-)

1 card 2 challenges (again)

Well it is sort of 2 challenges. I have used the sketch for Katharina's GD call so fingers crossed she like it. Had probs with camera so had to scan my card and think I may have been too late to enter (sob). I don't think I had a chance really but was nice to try. The other challenge is for Cute Card Thursday - they wanted to see a card with something that would grow .... flowers hopefully will do the job!

Here is a card I have made over the past couple of days. The good weather has finally managed to coax me outside and I have spent the most gorgeous day on the east coast with hubby. Anyway, back to this card, lol. The challenge is to use a great scallop sketch as the layout for your card. I have to admit, this is one of my faves so far.

Just want to wish my dear dad a very happy birthday. The good old Spanish postal service hasn't managed to get my card to him on time but hopefully it will be there tomorrow. Have a wonderful day dad and sorry I am so far way on your special day. Love you loads xxx

Tilda & Co

Phew, got this one in just in the nick of time ... thank goodnes for nights when you cannot sleep, lol. This week over on Tilda & co the theme was bugs ... urgh. Well not to bad really, as long as they are somewhere on your card. I found these tiny punched butterflies that I pinched from my mum earlier this year (knew they would come in handy sometime, hehehehe). Due to it being sooooooo late I have scanned my pic in but will take proper piccie in the morning .. goodnight everyone ...... watch the bed bugs don't bite (sorry for the dreadful link).

Thankyou once again Bev for thinking of me with this award, what a perfect end to the week!!!!! Ok, so is what it's all about........

It's the Wylde Women Award and the rules are:

1. You can give it to one or one hundred or any number in between - it's up to you. Make sure you link to their site in your post.

2. Link back to this blogsite (http://www.tammyvitale.com//) so Tammy can go visit all these wonderful women.and remember the Purpose of the Award: To send love and acknowledgment to women who brighten your day, teach you new things and live their lives fully with generosity and joy.

Ok, so here are a few that I think deserve it too (there are quite a few people I wish I could give it to but they don't have blogs!!!!)
I expect afew of these don't really know who I am but I just wanted to thank them for leaving comments on my cards and making me feel good about this great hobby! Thanks for all the encouragement ladies - it really DOES make my day;-)

Nolan's Monster!!

I am sure you all know about Fred, she said's blog but do you know about the up and coming artist they have??? No...... where have you all been??! It would appear that Nolan (mega talented son) has inherited the artistic gene and has produced this fab image. Please, please all pay a visit to the blog , download the image and then make a card straight away. For every card posted to their blog Nolan will get a little extra in his pocket money. I can't wait to see what he comes up with in the future - thankyou Nolan for this brilliant image!

2 challenges - 1 card ... PTW & OCC

I loved making this card, I still adore the magnolia stamps and I also got to open some new papers that I have just bought (no more stroking, lol). I managed 2 challenges with this card today. First challenge was this great sketch by Katharina over on PTW . I dont have my circle nesties yet or any templates for circles so just cut around an old cd with my craft knife .... it worked first time which amazed me (phew, didn't waste any of my yummy paper!!). The second challenge was to use dry embossing, my invaluable nesties provided the embossing for the chance to win a great prize on OCC provided but Marcie. On a personal note, I have just ordered my 3rd set of nesties from her and she has great prices and is very pleasant (go check her out).

Cute Card Thursday #19

Here is my card for this weeks challenge by CCT but I am not happy with it at all. I hate it when that happens but never mind, lol. I used a sketch by Katharina that she is using for a chance at being a guest designer but have decided not to use this card as an entry. Hopefully I will get a few more cards made this week, I have had a rotten head for a couple of days but am feeling on top of the world again - woohoo!

Dr who... for Stu

Here is the 2nd card this week for friends and family. It is for my friends boyfriend and he is mad on Dr Who. Finally a male card that wasn't too difficult to make. I didn't have any dark pearlescent card so I used this dark grey pearlescent paper as a wrap for the card. Used my top score board from crafters companion for the embossed lines and finished off with a few peel offs. I even made a box for this card which turned out great. Stuart's birthday isn't until next weekend but my friend loves it.

The third card I made this week is for my dad, but I will post it next week just incase he has a sneaky peek on my blog, lol.

A couple of cards for friends and family

I have had a busy week this week making cards for friends and family ... why is it always last minute with me???? Anyway, I am going to have to try and make a few next week for some challenges - I am missing them!!!! This cute little teddy is for my niece Emily. She is 4 tomorrow and this fab bear is from cuddlybuddly . I just enlarged the image and cut out to make a cute shaped card. Added loads of glitter glue to the dots and voila - a nice easy card that went down a treat (she couldn't/wouldn't wait til tomorrow to open it)!!!

Guest designer for Sketches by Tamara ..... that's me!!

Oh my goodness, can you believe it ... I can't!!!!! I am still so excited to have been asked by Tamara and feel so honoured. Even more suprisingly is that I managed to keep it secret all week - I have been longing to tell everyone. I love Tamara's sketches so jumped at the chance to be guest designer for the week. I had to chose one of her sketches that I liked and then make a card using the sketch. I hope you all have a look at her blog and take part in her weekly challenges. She also has a new layout every week for all you scrapbookers out there too!! Thanks Tamara for asking me - you really have made my week!!

Tilda & Co - Distressed Tilda

This week on Tilda & Co we had to make a card that was grungy, distressed and well .... just not me at all, lol. No lovely shades of lilac allowed for me. But ... the good news is that my Prisma pencils and nesties finally arrived so I had a great excuse to play.

Sketch Saturday #7 & PTW Teenage Kicks challenge

Good evening, here is my card for these 2 challenges (yep, managed another combo). It should have been ready last night but the unimaginable happened ..... I completely ran out of double sided tape!!!!! Fear not, I am well stocked up again so panic over ;0)

Thought I would try something completely different for the challenge by PTW and had some real fun with the holographic card and bright colours. Of course, this meant it was a nightmare to get a decent picture of it but the card is bright pink and totally girly. There is also a little sneaky peak of some electric blue used for matting and layering too. The sketch on Sketch Saturday was so easy to use and will be one that I will definately use again in the future.

Ignore all my rants over scanning etc - discovered a great tutorial by Katharina on how to take pictures of your cards ... I have added her to my fave blogs so please check out her work. I have now uploaded the new picture of my card which is so much clearer - woohoo!!

Sarah Kay Challenge - week 2

This week we were given a really lovely sketch to follow. There are some beautiful cards made by the DT and I recommend you all go and have a look at these wonderful creations. Think I must be feeling summery again because I have another 'sunglasses required' colour scheme.

Duthch Dare - Challenge #5

This was so enjoyable, my very first Sweet Art Ebony card ... I am in love!! The challenge by Dutch Dare was to only use one piece of designer paper. I chose this beautiful paper from Dovecraft's Aquamarine Floral Print Pack and was immediately happy because it meant I could use lilac again guilt free.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge - sketch #5

Gosh I can hardly believe it is time for the Penny Black Challenge again. I have to admit it is one of my favourites - they have such cute stamps. I am venturing into the land of bold colours today and finding an excuse to wear my sunglasses despite the fact that summer is a little reluctant to turn up this year.

Cute card Thursday & Sketch by Tamara

Good evening to you all, hope you are all ok. Well on this rainy Thursday evening I have managed to combine 2 challenges again. The challenge by Cute Card Thursday was to make a card for a child and the brilliant sketch (#52) was provided by Tamara . I think I will give this to my niece for her birthday - she will be 4 at the end of the month (but who knows, I might change my mind, lol)

OCC Sketch Challenge

I have resisted all temptation and avoided lilac completely for this weeks sketch challenge for Our Creative Corner . I have also used my cuttlebug for the very first time too (I love it!!!!) so looks like I will be spending more pennies on dies and folders from now on.

Recipe: Tilda coloured with watercolour pencils, papers - funky seasons + DCWV Retro Prints, cuttlebug dies for corners, ribbon, brads and flowers from stash.

Just wanted to congratulate Frances on reaching 25,000 hits on her blog!!!! To celebrate she has some great blog candy up for grabs. Why don't you all pop over and have a look at her great cards!

1 card for 2 challenges

I am trying to catch up with a few challenges that I have missed and so decided to combine a couple of challenges into 1 card. I have used this cute bear for the Penny Black challenge whilst using the sketch from the Friday Sketchers challenge.

One year on.....

I can hardly believe it is a year to the day since I made my first ever card. I remember sitting for about an hour at a blank piece of card wondering what on earth I was supposed to do with it. Where has the time gone I ask myself? Who knows but what fun these 12 months have been. I have tried so many new things and my mum has been there encouraging me all year. I think I am well and truly hooked and can't wait to see what the next year brings. Thought I would share my first card I made (told you I liked lilac, lol). Thankyou to everyone who has helped and inspired me, where would I be without you all!
