I’m back!!!!

Hi everyone, I am back in blogland at last!! It seems ages since I made a card. I have been having terrible headaches and migraines but thankfully they seem to be back in control at last.

My first card today is for The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog and our theme this week is Birthdays.

03-11.12

It felt really odd colouring again and it is a long way from perfect but I had real fun colouring this image. I have used a combination of Copics and Spectrum Noirs – they work really well together.

This image is Punk Lolly and is available from The Paper Shelter.

03-11.12b

So there you go. I hope you can all join us this week. I will be back later with another card.

Hi there everyone. Can I just apologise for my post being so late. I have no idea what happened because I scheduled both my posts and now I cannot see them anywhere. Anyway, these things happens and we all know Blogger has a mind of it’s own.

So first of all I have my card from The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog, the theme is …..

Fairies and Elves

Now I do not know what happened with me this week, I think I am losingmy marbles because in my head I was thinking Santa’s Elves and then somehow that all got mixed up to Father Christmas hence my card with no fairy or elf!

02-11.12

Please make sure you have a look at the challenge and also check out the wonderful new images available at The Paper Shelter.

Back in a bit with my next missing post!

Even witches need a bit of bling ….

Good morning folks. Well I am still full of the cold and feeling generally yuck! I have managed some crafting though and made this card for The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog.

The theme this week is Halloween. Only a week to go so make sure you join in with your crafty makes.

05-10.12

I have used on of the printables again this week. They are so lovely and easy to do. I have matted onto some purple card and added flowers, leaves (skeleton of course, lol) and some bling. I found this brad that I have had for years. Isn’t it gorgeous – I think it was a Dovecraft one but I can’t be sure.

05-10.12a

I thought I would show you a close up so you could see the beautiful detail in the colouring. I think they are also a great guide for helping with colouring re shading etc. There are so many to pick from on The Paper Shelter website, this lovely lady is on offer at the moment HERE.

05-10.12c

There is even a matching insert! I love these so much. It is great because you can have the image to colour or the printable for a different look ….. what fab value for money.

See you all later xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

A simple box

Morning everyone. Well today I am sharing a really simple box that I made for the new challenge on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog. Our theme this week is ……

Love Beats All

I have made a box using my ultimate pro and then printed one of the beautiful digis from The Paper Shelter and covered it with Spray & Sparkle.

02-10.12

I then just added a flower and voila … finished!! You can find this digi on The Paper Shelter website – it is called ‘Christmas Carol’ and is one of the brand new images.

I thought it would be nice to use one of the designs that come with the black line digis just to show how useful they are. This makes such a quick and pretty box.

And as usual our sponsors for this weeks Challenge are Veronica and Pedro ofThe Paper Shelter, and they do have some really lovely "Love" images I do hope you will go and visit their website and see for yourself what they have to offer. Anyway their prize for you is

but as always this is providing you have used one of their products on your card, but even if you haven’t you will still receive 3 digi images of your own choice. I do hope that more of you will start to use their products on your cards as so many of the winners haven’t and they are missing such a fabulous prize by not doing so. Oh and by the way if you are entering more than one card, you are only allowed to enter THREE and one of those MUST have one of The Paper Shelter images on it.

See you all later xxxxx

Something sweet

Morning all, I have 2 posts today for you …. Wednesdays are so busy! My first post is my DT creation for The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog. Our theme this week is …..

ANYTHING GOES

Soooo, I thought I would try something other than a card …. just for a change.

14-09.12

The Paper Shelter has some really pretty printables – this was so easy to make. I just printed it, cut and scored, added some acetate and voila…. job done! Oh yes, I also had to buy some Flumps ….. the only ones left out of the huge bag are the ones which are inside my project lol ….. I might need to have a tasty little treat when I get home from work tonight lol.

Pop over to the challenge blog for details about our prize this week and for more inspiration by the team.

You little devil…..

Morning, I should hopefully be at work right now (if I have the correct day) so fingers cross my post is up and working correctly. Do you know when you get a new image and you just can’t wait to use it …. well that is exactly how I was with this little stunner from The Paper Shelter.
There is just something about this adorable little devil that I love – she has such a pretty face, although I doubt she is that well behaved wearing those stockings!!!

I couldn’t resist adding this cheeky sentiment using some Doodlebugs rub on letters that I have had in my stash forever. I opted for green hair and I have to admit I am rather taken with it. I am sure Hallowe’en is a perfect time to get away with green locks lol.

I haven’t written the list of copics that I used but from next week I am going to start taking pics of the colours I use for Copics and Spectrum Noirs because I never remember new combos very well.
Make sure you pop over to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog for details of this weeks prize and also lots more inspiration from the design team. Ooops I almost forgot, our theme this week is to use punches. I promise to add product links tonight after work
See you this afternoon for another card!

The Paper Shelter - Clean & Simple

Good morning and here I am on a day where I will be sharing 2 cards with you. I am off work until Friday night this week but I am so busy making sample cards that I do not know if I am coming or going. I have also been sorting my candy and my post should be ready to go by the end of the week.

Oki doki, onto some cardage. This week on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog we would like to see Clean & Simple. So no fussiness at all, if I can manage then I am sure all of you can!!

There - who would have thought I could do this extreme of C&S! The great images from TPS are just perfect. This one was pre coloured so all I had to do was get on my computer, resize and position and then add this wonderful sentiment from Create with TLC. I am amazed how quick and easy this card was and is a great type of card to make when you are caught out and need a card QUICK!!

The image is called 'Let's go to Sleep' and is available from The Paper Shelter.

Check out the other cards by the DT over on our challenge blog. See you all later xxx

The Paper Shelter ……. Glitz and Glimmer

Good morning world, sorry I am a little late today but all these late nights are taking their toll so I decided to be a lazy bum and stay in bed this morning…. what a treat!

That now means I am running round like a loon trying to wake up and post my card because I didn’t even consider scheduling my card, tut tut. So please excuse any typos, I will probably spot them later and edit my post.

I have 2 cards today. My first is my DT card for
The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog. We have a theme close to my heart …..

GLITZ AND GLIMMER

I have been wanting to use this beautiful image from The Paper Shelter for a little while now. She is called ‘Spring in the Heart’ and is just so pretty.

I have coloured her with Spectrum Noir pens and kept to the nice soft shades for this card. I drew the grass using little flicks with the pens and I think it has worked well.

The papers are from an old A5 paper pad by Forever Friends, I think it was the Pink Parfait collection. Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the little butterflies were just in my stash. I am going to start going through all my stuff and using these little bits and bobs that I have. Makes a nice change from my usual embellishments.

Now I am not sure if this is showing up very well on my photo but I sprayed all the pink flowers with the new Pink Spray and Sparkle from Crafter’s Companion. They will make a donation to Breast Cancer Care for every can that is sold. So you can add sparkle to everything knowing you have helped a very worthwhile charity.

Oki doki, that’s all my words over with lol. Don’t forget to check out our challenge blog for details of the priza and also all the other wonderful creations by the design team. Oooops I almost forgot ….. WELCOME to all the new members of the DT and congratulations!!!!

Going dottie!!!!

I have been wanting to colour this image for quite a while. She is called ‘Cool Waitress’ and was an absolute joy to colour. I have used my copics and also some more papers by First Edition.

I coloured my die cut with copics to match my colour scheme because my gorgeous friend sent me some and they were white – think it turned out ok really.

A spotty ribbon and feathers finish off my card, continuing with this weeks theme.

The Paper Shelter – Bling It On

Good evening, well I managed to survive at work today on the hottest day of the year despite being so very busy. I just have tomorrow to go and then I get a couple of days off plus a night out with hubby on Friday so I am looking forward to it!!!!

Sorry I am late today with my card for The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog but to be honest 2 cards in one day is a lot to post for me so a break in between is probably a good thing lol.

The challenge this week is Bling it On so what a perfect theme for me!!!! I am so in love with these images that I just enjoy colouring them so much. Here is my card ……

This beautiful image is called 'Lets's make a Pic-nic' and I think she is just so sweet.

I took the inspiration for my copic colours from the beautiful papers - these are Kaiser (again, I think I am seriously in totally addicition mode with this brand) and they are from the 'The Lake House' pad .... delish!!!!! A nice change is the platinum stickles, I think I like it almost as much as the stardust - now that says something!

The scrummy diecuts are from a rather naughty friend of mine who sent me some die cuts but also sent me the delish dies for my birthday - thankyou hunny ....mwah, they are so pretty x

...and look, I even did the inside too - aren't I good!

So that's it for today ...... I really hope you can join in. Check out the challenge blog for details of the prize and also for more inspiration.

The Paper Shelter – Photo Inspiration

Good afternoon and here I am again, Wednesdays are a busy day for me lol. I am just loving being part of The Paper Shelter design team, I have found a new pleasure from my colouring again which is so nice. The images lend themselves to bright colours so easily.

We have a photo inspiration for you this week so please pop over to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog to have a look and join in.

I had a hunt through my papers to see what I could use for the colour scheme I had in mind and found these Basic Grey papers that I haven’t used in ages. I usually chose my papers first before colouring my image, I find it works better for me this way and I am also more likely to try different shades etc.

The image is another of this months new releases and is called Spring Swing II and can be purchased from The Paper Shelter. I really enjoyed colouring her. The edges have been coloured using eye shadow – I bought a palette with about 160 colours from eBay and use it instead of chalks to add a touch of colour.

All finished with my usual flowers and pearls …..and some feathers!!!!! I meant to say that the sentiment is a die cut from Craftwork Cards and I have had it for ages.

Challenges:

The Crazy Challenge – Feminine/Girly
Cards Galore – Celebration
Sunday Sketch & Stamp – Sketch #56
Crafty Creations – Feminine cards
Creative Inspirations – Anything Goes

The Paper Shelter – Buttons and Bows

Hi everyone, well I survived my study day and I am now home ready to unwind with a bit of crafting. I have lots of DT samples to make so you won’t see them on my blog straight away but the results should be up next week I think.

I have been itching to share my card for this weeks The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog with you all. It is not very often that I love my own cards but this is a real favourite of mine. It just came together really easily and so that is probably one of the reasons. I also love the papers and the colours too ….. hope you like it….

The theme this week is buttons and bows. I have so many buttons but hardly ever use them. I must start digging them out, I really like them sat on my bow like that. Typical that I have started buying twine but still failed to have the correct colour to thread a little bow through the button, never mind.

Another insert decorated ….. I am slightly impressed with myself – wonder how long I can keep this up???? I am totally in love with these papers – they are so lush ….. foiled and glazed, ooooh it hurt to cut into them I can tell you!

A closer look at the image – she is just great isn’t she. Love her grumpy face, bless haha ….. she is called ‘A Little Bit Grumpy’ and is available to buy from The Paper Shelter. I had lots of fun colouring her, this is why I like taking my colours from my backing papers, I probably wouldn’t have chosen these colours for her originally but I just loved the papers that I had to use them.

And look ….. even a box!!!!!! Don’t faint! This sheet of paper is so beautiful in real life, the glazing is stunning and has to be seen to be really appreciated. I couldn’t bare to cover it with any other bits of paper.

So thats your lot ….. remember to join in on the challenge blog for a chance to win – full details on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog ….. remember you can use any image at all.
