Feeling distressed

Well actually I am not at all however my card for Simon Says Stamp Challenge this week is to use Tim Holtz products so I have used his distress markers!!

04-02.13

I coloured this Belles n Whistles image a couple of weeks ago whilst I was visiting my mum and I pinched her markers to have a play. I  must admit it was a nice change from using Copic markers. I think I need more practice but I really had fun.

I have used papers from Tigerlily pad by Kaiser Craft and I just love them so much.

It’s a wrap

Afternoon everyone …. I thought I would share a couple of memory wire bracelets I have made this week. This another new style of bracelet I have been trying and I do love them. They are so easy to make and look great too!

This first bracelet is definitely for the grown ups – made with gorgeous Swarovski pearls and Chinese crystals and finished with a pretty Swarovski flower charm. I love purples and this mix of dark purple, mauve and light grey really appeals to me.

and now onto something for the younger girls to enjoy. This fun memory wire bracelet is great for younger girls. Made with lovely glass pearls with a few pretty Czech glass fire polished crystals as a little treat it is also perfect for bigger girls too. This particular bracelet was a custom order for a little girl’s birthday and so I added a blingy initial charm to finish the look.

I would love it if you could pop over to my facebook page where I share lots more of my creations.

See you all tomorrow when I am back with a card!! xxxx

Hi everyone. Today I am sharing my card for Simon Says Stamp challenge blog. We are all using products by Basic Grey but you can use whatever you like but we would like to see an arrow somewhere on your creation.

A different type of card from me again but I really like this. Basic Grey have some fabulous chip stickers to use and they coordinate with the paper pack ranges too. There are some really lovely and fun elements.

Peridot Swarovski Bracelet

Good morning everyone. Monday again already …. the weekends go so fast. I actually managed a weekend off this week so that was great. Back on night shifts tonight though.

I thought I would share a bracelet an old school friend asked me to make for her. This is the first time I have made this style. Gail chose the pattern from my pinterest page and then told me what colours she would like. I think she has fabulous taste!

gsperidot

This is just so pretty in real life and the Swarovski crystals really shine. I have never used so many crystals on one item before but it was worth every one of them. Gail loved it thank goodness and I have to admit I almost kept it lol. Even my hubby commented on it!

Here are the beads I used to make it:

15/0 Miyuki Seed Beads 8.2 gram tube - Silver Lined Gold Fireline Thread Smoke Grey 6LB 50YDS .008 Clasp gold-plated flower w/pale green rhinestone 12mm Pk 2

I am off to start my card for Simon Says Stamp now but will be back with more jewellery and cards later in the week. Hope you have a great week xxx

Loving Kumihimo

Hi, I just thought I would share a bracelet I made yesterday with you all. It is my very first Kumihimo bracelet and I thought I would add seed beads to it to add a little bit of shine.

It was actually fairly simple to make and I am keen to try some more. I could even catch up with the TV whilst making this which is usually something I can never do whilst beading.

In the Pink

Hi folks, just a real quickie from me. I have just finished a bracelet for a lovely friend who asked me to make something for her. Anyway, it had to be pink and have some bling so here we go ... think it fits the bill!

This is a montee embellished bracelet and the pattern is from Off the Beaded Path. I love Kelly's tutorials, they are always very clear. The beads are semi precious and the montees are Swarovski so you know that means plenty of bling for your money.

Don't forget my new challenge blog for jewellery and beading addicts over at Beading Friends Forever. Please check it out and join in. We also have a very friendly Facebook group too so pop over and say hi.

Right, better go - back on nights tonight xxxxxxxxxx

I {heart} Simon Says Stamp

Good afternoon and please excuse my slight lateness with my post. I have just got back after visiting my parents for a few days. I have had a lovely time with my mum and dad and really must try to get over there more often.

Anyway, onto my Simon Says Stamp Challenge card. We would love to see some hearts on your creations this week, perfect timing for Valentine’s Day next week. The DT have all been using Simon Says Stamp exclusive dies and stamps …. you must check them out!!

I made my card over at my parents house so I had to pinch a bit of my mum’s stash, I did remember to take my SSS stamps though – they were quite a hot with mum lol.

01-02.13

A very simple card for me but I quite like the bold colours and simplicity. I stamped some hearts out and then just cut them out and arranged them in a flower pattern. Once I had finished my card I came up with loads of great ideas …. that will have to wait for another time now though.
