simple bridesmaid bracelet

Well, here I am just breezing in and out of blogland willy nilly. i have been away for ages - so sorry. I haven't really done any crafting at all for the past few months since I took up cycling.

Anyway, a good excuse to make a couple of bracelets. My brother in law is getting married at the weekend and they asked me to make bracelets for the younger bridesmaids.

They are just a simple but classic deign really - nothing too fussy for young ones :)

Hopefully I will be back soonish - see you all soon xxxxx

on yer bike .... and a freshwater pearl bracelet

Hi there, hope you are having a nice start to the weekend.

So something very strange has happened - I have been bitten by the cycling bug. Not a nibble but a massive great big BITE!

I have had a couple of rides out on my mountain bike this week ( 12 miles and 16 miles) and I won.t lie, the chunky tires really make it hard work.

Soooooooooooooo I have only gone and ordered a rather fabulous road bike .... just waiting to get my gorgeous new Cannondale ..... I think I am in love!

So if you are on Strava add me and we can follow each other. I am very excited about this and plan to get some serious miles in if I can.

*************

Oh yes, crafting lol ...... here is a freshwater pearl bracelet that I made for my sister to give to one of her friends as a gift.

Tiny Treasure bracelet pattern review

Hi everyone, I hope you are having a lovely weekend. The weather is so changeable that I decided to stay in today and make myself a bracelet. It is my friend's wedding next weekend so I have a good excuse to make something just for me.

I had a look around online for a pattern that I liked and I found this pretty bracelet called Tiny treasure. The pattern is by BeeJang and you can find the link here.

I found the pattern very easy to follow. The instruction were clear and there are also lots of pictures to also help. I thought I would try some monofilament instead of my usual Fireline and I have to say I quite like it. i will need to wear my bracelet all night first before I decide to use it again but it seems very strong but also flexible.

The beads I used are 6x8 crystal, 4mm bicones, 6mm Swarovski pearls and 11/0 seed beads. I used a toggle clasp in bronze which goes really nicely with the beads.

I decided to make a little video showing how the light captures the beads. I think in future I will always do a video but will probably plan it a bit better. This was all very impulsive and not really planned at all lol. Anyway, have a look and see how lovely it looks compared to the still photo.

I hope you found this useful. See you again soon xxx

Lady Luck

Hi everyone. It has been a few days since my last post because I have been on nights. All finished now though so that is good.

Today I want to share a bracelet I have made for Beading Friends Forever challenge – pop over if you love making jewellery because each month someone will win £15 to spend at Beads Direct.

So I discovered this beautiful tutorial on Youtube and I have to say I adore this bracelet.

pearl1

I have made this with gorgeous fresh water potato pearls and Swarovski chaton crystal montees. It is so pretty in real life and HEAVY!

Here is a closer look at the detail of the design.

I am definitely going to make more of these but I think I might have a bit of fun with brightly coloured glass pearls and see what it looks like.

My craft room is almost finished now – just curtains and shelves to go up. I have moved in and am happy up here. I shall share some more pics tomorrow of the progress.

If you would like to know what I used to make my bracelet here are the picture links …..

If you would like to buy any of my jewellery please pop over to my crafting Facebook page.

See you all tomorrow xx

Spikes and crystals

Good evening, I thought I would share a bracelet and earring set that I made myself at the weekend. Spikes are really on trend at the moment so I thought I should do my best to create something fun and easy to wear.

bluespikeset

I have to say I am so happy with this set and it was so easy to make. I just strung some lovely crystals and spiked spacers onto some stretch elastic and voila …. one really cool bracelet. The earrings were just as easy to make – I alternated crystals and lovely Swarovski spacers onto a head pin and then attached to my earring finding.  I got the idea from Beads Direct – they have some really fabulous inspirational videos and tutorials. I have added links below to the products.

The next bracelet is a really fun memory wire bracelet I made for a lady at work. It is for her nieces birthday – I really love the pink and turquoise colour combo on this. It is made with a mixture of glass beads with the odd grown up crystal thrown in. Finished with a blingy initial charm.

It’s a wrap

Afternoon everyone …. I thought I would share a couple of memory wire bracelets I have made this week. This another new style of bracelet I have been trying and I do love them. They are so easy to make and look great too!

This first bracelet is definitely for the grown ups – made with gorgeous Swarovski pearls and Chinese crystals and finished with a pretty Swarovski flower charm. I love purples and this mix of dark purple, mauve and light grey really appeals to me.

and now onto something for the younger girls to enjoy. This fun memory wire bracelet is great for younger girls. Made with lovely glass pearls with a few pretty Czech glass fire polished crystals as a little treat it is also perfect for bigger girls too. This particular bracelet was a custom order for a little girl’s birthday and so I added a blingy initial charm to finish the look.

I would love it if you could pop over to my facebook page where I share lots more of my creations.

See you all tomorrow when I am back with a card!! xxxx

Peridot Swarovski Bracelet

Good morning everyone. Monday again already …. the weekends go so fast. I actually managed a weekend off this week so that was great. Back on night shifts tonight though.

I thought I would share a bracelet an old school friend asked me to make for her. This is the first time I have made this style. Gail chose the pattern from my pinterest page and then told me what colours she would like. I think she has fabulous taste!

gsperidot

This is just so pretty in real life and the Swarovski crystals really shine. I have never used so many crystals on one item before but it was worth every one of them. Gail loved it thank goodness and I have to admit I almost kept it lol. Even my hubby commented on it!

Here are the beads I used to make it:

15/0 Miyuki Seed Beads 8.2 gram tube - Silver Lined Gold Fireline Thread Smoke Grey 6LB 50YDS .008 Clasp gold-plated flower w/pale green rhinestone 12mm Pk 2

I am off to start my card for Simon Says Stamp now but will be back with more jewellery and cards later in the week. Hope you have a great week xxx

In the Pink

Hi folks, just a real quickie from me. I have just finished a bracelet for a lovely friend who asked me to make something for her. Anyway, it had to be pink and have some bling so here we go ... think it fits the bill!

This is a montee embellished bracelet and the pattern is from Off the Beaded Path. I love Kelly's tutorials, they are always very clear. The beads are semi precious and the montees are Swarovski so you know that means plenty of bling for your money.

Don't forget my new challenge blog for jewellery and beading addicts over at Beading Friends Forever. Please check it out and join in. We also have a very friendly Facebook group too so pop over and say hi.

Right, better go - back on nights tonight xxxxxxxxxx

Swarovski love

Hey there, happy weekend. I thought I would share a bracelet I made a couple of days ago using scrummy Swarovski crystal beads and beautiful crystal bicones.

Isn't this just so pretty. I found the pattern on the internet and I am so pleased with how it turned out. I really love using Swarovski products because they are just stunning to work with.

Here is a close look at the clasp. It is amethyst and rhinestone and just sparkles away so pretty in real life.

I nice view of the bracelet.

I bought everything to make this from Beads Direct .... my new favourite place in the whole world lol xxxxx
