Young Love

Hi there, isn't it sunny today ... fab but freezing!! So happy it is the weekend at last. We went out last night with a load from Glen's work to a gorgeous indian restaurant which used to be an old windmill (Here if you want a nosey) and we had such a great time. I haven't laughed so much in ages. Slight fiasco before going out though cos I decided to go all glam and opted for some false nails - however I glued my fingers to the nails and got in a right mess so had to cut the 2 nails I managed to get stuck on to the same length as my little stubbies. Only just managed to get the little b*ggers off, lol .... what am I like! I am going out tonight with some friends that I did my training with tonight for a few drinks so I shan't be attempting the nails again!

Thought I would show you a card my darling son asked me to make for his girlfriend (been going out a year now). Shocked he wanted one of my cards - not usually a cool thing apparently but think his girlfriend likes them so looks like he has no choice, lol.

Anyone for Anya

Hi there, guess who forgot to schedule this post ..... oops. So here I am - better late than never. We have had a tiring day after the contest (up at 6am .... 1st band on to play) and are now waiting for the rest of the bands to play before the results are announced this evening. They played ever so well it was sold out so plenty of people enjoyed the music. Anyway, onto crafty things and here is my card for Anyone for Anya ....

GETTING ROUND TO IT

I have chosen this gorgeous Pink Petticoat dotty paper and paper pieced Anya's dress and bow. I love this soft, delicate shade of pink - so girly! I have kept it all very simple with my colour scheme and lay out. Circle are present with my nesties, papers and dies along with the nice curved edges on my ribbon tag.

Lots more stickles about again, think I better get some more ordered at this rate - I am just loving it so much. Right, I really need a cuppa and a lounge about on the sofa. Catch you all later xxx

Hi, well I have Monday off this week so that is a very good way to start the week isn't it! Unfortunately Ryan is off college unwell today so fingers crossed he is feeling better later. I have decided to have a little play in my craft room for a change and have finally had chance to ink this gorgeus stamp that I bought from Dies to Die For. It is another of the cuties by Gillian F Roberts and I just love it!. As you can see I have printed off yet more papers in this design - I just can't help it, lol .... promise no more for the rest of the week now :o)

I have managed to enter it into a few challenges too .... I love joining in as much as I can ...

Cute Daisy May - Blue Christmas

Stamp Something - Cute and Fuzzy Somethings
Creative Craft Challenges - The First One

And that's your lot! Counting down the sleeps now until Saturday when I will finally get to meet so many of my blogging buddies at the NEC - OMG I am so excited, lol. Have a great day!

Patriotic Anya and fabulous new products and offers at Dies To Die For

Good morning my lovelies and eek .... what has happened to the weather! How dreadful is all this wind and rain - a perfect day for staying indoors and crafting though, lol. We have a really great challenge for you this week on Anyone for Anya - we would like to see you use the colours of your national flag or colours that are associated with your country. We are sponsored this week by Hobbystempels.nl and they are giving away aMiss Anya set to one lucky person.

Rather than the usual red, white and blue I decided to opt for the colours on St George's flag (although she does have blue eye shadow, lol). I am totally loving these papers by Pink Petticoat and can't stop using them - sorry if you are getting bored with them but I am trying to at least change the colours each day hehehe. I have used flowersoft for the fur trim but to be honest I wish I had used flock instead because I am not really happy with how it turned out, never mind. Almost forgot to mention - I have followed the fab sketch over at Just Christmas & Birthday Cards , isn't it a lovely sketch!
A quick update for you all about what's new at Dies to die For All new releases from The Greeting Farm and Kraftin Kimmie have now been uploaded onto the website.
Check out todays Special Offers as included today are some Martha Stewart punches, some Promarkers, some of The Greeting Farm stamps and some Kraftin Kimmie stamps.
These will be available whilst stocks last or until first thing tomorrow morning.

There is also the long awaited EZ mount back in stock (thank goodness) and Tracy has added Messy Rabbit, Hoot The Owl and Lofty and Co stamps. Go check them out. She will be adding more to these over the next few weeks.

Also check out the newly uploaded Promarker wallets and Petaloo blooms :o)

Have a great Sunday and try to make the best of this weather!xxx

MONOCHROMATIC

Don't worry, you can use white in your creations like many of the DT have. Just pick your favourite colour and then use lots of shades of that colour to make your card. I have used lilacs .... I just adore purple so much, deffo my fave colour in crafting ... or is it, lol.

I had a slight emergency .... my E00 ran out whilst colouring little Tilda but some ink is on its way to me so she will have a little touch up when it arrives .... my first pen to run out ... scary! I have used some more of these pretty snowflakes that I found at the range, I really do like them.

A little look from a different angle to see the different layers. I followed the sketch over on Sketch and Stash ... my new stash this week are my snowflakes - expect to see more of these over the next few weeks! I have also decided to enter my card in this weeks Simon Says Stamp challenge which is 'All that Sparkles' and also Creative Card Crew which is snowflakes.

PBSC / Sad day

Good morning, sorry I am late with my post today but it is a sad day for me. My son would have been 18 years old today - I can't believe it is almost 11 years since he died :o( We have been to the florists to collect his flowers but they were not ready so I am going back soon to collect them
so we can take them down to the cemetry.

Now onto happier things and look at these little mice. They really make me smile, they are just so delightful. This is for this weeks Penny Black Saturday Challenge and our theme is ....

HEARTS DESIRE

I have followed the sketch on this weeks Sketch and Stash and I have used these gorgeous Pink Petticoat papers that I had forgotten all about. SCSC theme is also hearts and flowers so would be a shame not to enter :o) Think I may have gone a bit heart mad, lol .... they are everywhere but hey, too late now :o)
Thanks to you all for your continued support, you are all wonderful!!

Stamp Something .... A sketch

Good morning, Friday again andI am so pleased it is here at last. Ihave this afternoon off work today which is great because mum and dad are here so it will be nice to be at home with them.
We have a great sketch by our very own Emily and it is brilliant!! We were also sent some gorgeous images to play with from our sponsors this week, Layers of Color so be sure to check out their fab shop.

I had great fun using this sketch and it is one of those you just know you will use again and again. The fab papers are Pink Petticoat which I adore - they always mix so well and take so much of the hard work out of planning your card. I hope you are all suitably amazed that I have not used a single flower!!!

How long are those legs....... life does not seem fair that a bird gets such great legs, lol. Please check out the other cards by the Design Team , you know they are such a talented bunch and I love their creations so much!
Sorry I haven't been managing to visit you all this week - there has been a crisis surrounding my hubby and it has been a terrible couple of days. Hopefully everything will get sorted and I will be back and bloghopping properly again in a few days :o)
Have a lovely Friday ....... 1 more sleep to Harrogate!!!

ABC Challenge - E is for ....

Morning all, wow, I can hardly believe it is Wednesday already. This week/month/year is just flying by!!! So I expect you have all had a pretty good guess at the theme this week on ABC , not too difficult to guess .....

E is for Easter

As you can see I have made a very tradional card .... well, ok, maybe not but it does have a chick on it! I wanted to do something a little bit more modern and these papers and image from Pink Petticoat were just what I had in mind. This is a new colour combo for me - pink and navy - and I really do like it, you will see this combo again mark my words.

The little flowers were made with my retro flower punch and the pink pearls were from Joanna Sheen, although I think just about everywhere sells them now.
A big thankyou to you all who joined in last week. Make sure you visit the other cards by the design team for some wonderful inspiration.
