Feeling a little distressed ….. x

Good afternoon everyone, I hope it is dry with you all today. There is so much flooding around and York, as usual has been affected with the Ouse spilling out and causing disruption. I hope your properties are dry and that noone has been flooded.

It is back to reality after my fun away at Craftaganza last week. I am also back to work tonight for 4 night shifts :o(

I am sharing my DT card with you today for Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog. It is a good old favourite of ‘ANYTHING GOES; so I expect we will be swamped with entries. The DT are all using the fabulous products by Martha Stewart.

05-11.12

I have dug out my very first Magnolia stamp that I ever bought. I really love this one. I am pretty happy with how my card turned out this week. I think if you are happy it shows in your cards – I am certainly in a good mood at the moment :o)

05-11.12a

I have coloured my image with a combination of Copics and Spectrum Noir pens. I have finally manage to create a hint of creases in Tilda’s dress and I am going to keep practicing until I get better at this colouring technique. I thought I would colour the background to try and help the image pop, who wants all that white space anyway lol.

05-11.12b

Check me being all brave and distressing the edges and my flowers – think I need to go lay down after that hahahaha. Lots of Martha Stewart punches here and also some delish ribbon by Martha Stewart too. All links are below.

Craftaganza Day !

Hi everyone, well I am absolutely shattered but very, very happy indeed!!!!!! I am at my very first Craftaganza (which is run by Crafter's Companion for any of you who do not know).

So I am sat bleary eyed in my hotel room typing away here to share what I have been making on day 1 out of 3. I have had an absolute blast meeting all my crafty friends in the flesh and getting all creative together.

After a heart breakfast I headed off to my first workshop of the day ...... beading with the gorgeous Sarah Millsop. What can I say ....... well, hmmmmm I do not think I am a natural beader although I did enjoy it. As you can see I have a long way to go to finish my necklace and bracelet although you may spot a complete pair of ear-rings :o)

As I have discovered once you can master the perfect loop you are sorted ........ a little bit trickier than it loos but Sarah is such a wonderful teacher and oh so patient!!!! I am going to finish this (I promise) at home and post pics of the finished set.

We then stopped for a rather scrummy lunch and then headed off for a session with Sheena Douglass. I was really looking forward to this after doing Paint Fusion a couple of years ago with her. My god that woman can talk ..... and talk ..... and talk ..... I love her!!!!!  I have been looking for a new direction for my card making and I think I have found a new love - Sheen - THANKYOU so much, I just loved this session.. I got all inky and messy and wow, I had a blast!!!!! I am going to be treating myself to some new products I think and will be getting all messy at home - you should see the sparkle on this in real life. I am so happy with my first attempt.I am going to photograph this properly when I get home.

Another little break - afternoon tea this time (we are so civilised) and then I headed off to the one and only Leann Chivers for some good old colouring with Spectrum Noirs. This was my lovely comfy session to end the day and I had a great time colouring the gorgeous Strawberry Kisses image and making a card. Nothing like a little of what you are used to making to give you a little reassurance again, lol.

What a great first day!!!! All rounded off with a fabulous 3 course meal and then birthday cakes too.

Thankyou Sara and the team for a brilliant first day.

See you all again in the morning xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

There’s snow business……….

Hi again, here I am again, this time with my card for Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog. We have a great sketch by our lovely Dawny and the DT are all using Stamps Happen
04-11.12
I love using papers that aren’t meant for Christmas on my Christmas cards – it makes you use a greater variety of colours rather than your traditional red and green.
04-11.12a
He does seem rather jolly doesn’t he. I have coloured him with my copics and added some stickles for some sparkle.

Hope to see you all join in with the fun

I’m back!!!!

Hi everyone, I am back in blogland at last!! It seems ages since I made a card. I have been having terrible headaches and migraines but thankfully they seem to be back in control at last.

My first card today is for The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog and our theme this week is Birthdays.

03-11.12

It felt really odd colouring again and it is a long way from perfect but I had real fun colouring this image. I have used a combination of Copics and Spectrum Noirs – they work really well together.

This image is Punk Lolly and is available from The Paper Shelter.

03-11.12b

So there you go. I hope you can all join us this week. I will be back later with another card.

Feeling a little grown up

Back again trying to catch up with my missing posts. I am so sorry if you have been visiting looking for my post for Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog. As you have probably seen the theme this week is Sympathy / Thinking of you.

It is Remembrance Day this weekend and so I decided to make a more serious type of card compared to my usual cute style. This was quite a challenge for me but I really enjoyed it.

01-11.12

I am pretty happy with how this turned out and it really stretched me in a good way. Lots of paper piecing and stamping and it was great fun.

Heidi will be giving a $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store!

Some noses are just cute red!

Hi there everyone. Can I just apologise for my post being so late. I have no idea what happened because I scheduled both my posts and now I cannot see them anywhere. Anyway, these things happens and we all know Blogger has a mind of it’s own.

So first of all I have my card from The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog, the theme is …..

Fairies and Elves

Now I do not know what happened with me this week, I think I am losingmy marbles because in my head I was thinking Santa’s Elves and then somehow that all got mixed up to Father Christmas hence my card with no fairy or elf!

02-11.12

Please make sure you have a look at the challenge and also check out the wonderful new images available at The Paper Shelter.

Back in a bit with my next missing post!
