What is your favourite challenge?? ..... Ideas = a little candy treat

Hi everyone, well I am sat here getting ready to colour my image and I am looking through the challenge blogs on my sidebar for ideas of themes and sketches etc. Anyway, I got to thinking how much blogland has grown over the last few years. There are so many challenges now and I probably have no idea about most because I hardly get chance to blog hop these days.

So I would just love it if you could post your favourite challenges as a comment on this post. That way I can go and investigate all the new challenges out there.

As a way of saying thankyou I will randomly pick a someone to win a little surprise candy - thanks guys xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Still clowning around…..

Morning all, the sun is still shining here is North Yorkshire but it is definately cooler and much breezier. Not complaining though because it is a lovely day and it isn’t raining. Are you all enjoying the Olympics? I love them, I really do. It is great watching sports that you wouldn’t usually watch. I got really into the beach volleyball yesterday between Great Britain and Canada – what a nail biter it ended up!

I thought I would share one of my Morehead cards with you that I made for the Create and Craft shows. Did you all manage to buy your POTW? I have to admit these are one of my favourite releases so far from
Crafter’s Companion although I say that every time haha.

I have stamped my image onto Neenah card using Memento Ink, I have then coloured with my Spectrum Noir Pens. The die is by Marianne Design and I just love it sooooo much!

I think this is proving to be a really popular stamp and I am not surprised, it is just so sweet. I have also coloured this using just my grey pens ….. you can see that post by clicking HERE.

I wanted to try something a bit different to my usual bows so I looped my ribbon and secured with a brad. I love how it looks and will be making more like this in future. Plus I have so many brads that I hardly use any more.

I forgot to write the colours down that I used but I promise to try and be good from now on though.

I am going to enter my card for the following challenges…

Whimsy Inspirations – Summer Fun

Secret Crafter – Bright & Cheerful

Have a great day, I am going to do a bit of crafting I think – oh what a surprise lol xxxxxx

Some news ...... x

Hi everyone, hope you are all having a wonderful Sunday. I just wanted to share a couple of videos with you all. As many of you know my son Ryan plays the trombone and is doing really well. Anyway, yesterday he was playing at the Cambridge Folk Festival and it was aired on Sky Arts HD television channel. I have a couple of clips so I hope you can excuse me for being so very proud, I just HAVE to share with you all.

The group are called The Unthanks and Ryan is playing with Brighouse and Rastrick Brass Band who have been playing with the singers this year. Their music is just beautiful.

There was also another really great one shown last night which was Frank Skinners pick of the day so hopefully I will get a link soon.

Thanks for letting me be a proud mamma xxxxx

Just Inklined …. Serenity

Good afternoon and what a great day it is. I have just finished watching the opening ceremony from the Olympics. Wow …… what an amazing show it was …. I feel ever so proud to be British. I have to say how touched I was seeing Muhammad Ali with the Olympic flag, it brought more than a couple of tears to my eyes. Let’s hope we have an enjoyable games without any scandal shadowing the performances.

Onto my card for today. I am sharing a gorgeous image with you all from
Just Inklined.

Now that looks like a good idea for a sunny day don’t you think. The image is called Serenity and the sentiment is from Create with TLC. I can always find the perfect sentiment from them and they just seem to enhance your creation.

I have a hat quite similar to this one so I may need to recreate this scene in my garden later … complete with jug of cocktail :o)

I have coloured with my speccies again. I have to admit I am really happy with the pretty pink shades that I can achieve with these. There is lots more inspiration for you over on the just inklined blog so please check it out.

Oooh I meant to let you all know that Ryan is playing at the Cambridge Folk Festival today with Brighouse & Rastick Brass Band who are playing with The Unthanks. It is a big festival and is televised on Sky Arts HD on channel 129 so fingers crossed I get to see him later. It is on at 6.30pm so I have set my sky box to record.

Not long until POTW Morehead launch

Morning everyone, sorry I didn’t get back last night to post a card after work. Had a busy day and was just shattered. I did catch the preview show which I had recorded on Create and Craft  for the new Morehead launch from Crafter’s Companion. I think it is certainly going to be a sell out when it launches today. You can catch the live shows at 12 midday, 3pm and 5pm so make sure you get those items in your baskets as quick as you can.

I just love this sweet image. I have also used the pretty butterfly and dragonfly stamps which are on the stamp sheet.

She has been coloured with Spectrum Noir pens and some stickles has been added to the butterfly and dragonfly wings.

I sanded some scrummy embossed Core’dinations card and finished with Prima flowers. The backing papers have been printed from the Morehead CD-Rom onto satin paper.

Sneak Peek …… 50 shades more(head)

Good afternoon. Oooh what a glorious day it has been. Thank heavens it is my day off today, work was like an oven yesterday. I am just about to go and enjoy a bottle of beer in the garden but thought you might like to see one of the gorgeous new stamps by Morehead that Crafter’s Companion will be bringing to you from Friday.

Seeing as 50% of the population has gone 50 shades crazy, I thought I would just use my grey Spectrum Noir pens for this sample ….. with a little hint of red. The nose has glossy accents on it but you can’t really tell with my amazing photography skills.

I have also used 3 of the accessory stamps that come with the main stamp – there are loads of them so you can make your project have lots of different looks. The paper is from the CD-Rom and I used the colouriser to get the greyscale effect ….. such a useful tool.

If you head over to Crafter’s Companion news Blog there are details of how to win the CD-Rom and also some decoupage kits – you will also be inspired by lots of sneak peeks by the design team.

Good morning everyone – woohoo, the sun is out!!!!!! I had a wonderful evening last night with my gorgeous friend Dawn and we also met up with the equally gorgeous Ben who we trained with all those years ago. The 3 of us haven’t been together for a couple of years so it was great to have a good old chat and catch up.

Onto my card for today and it is a real beauty. I have used 'Charlotte' from Just Inklined and she is one of the new releases this month.  She is just so elegant – I love her.

I have used another word art from Create with TLC  and I am really enjoying using digital sentiments with my images.
