Simon Says …. April Showers Bring Spring Flowers

Good morning everyone, so sorry for my lack of posts recently. I have been on nights and then had a really busy day on Saturday travelling to and from London with a concert in the middle – a rather hectic 13 hours!!!! Anyway, I am here at last and really do need to try and post a little more often.

You can always be certain that I am here every Wednesday though because it is always a brand new challenge from Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog …… our theme this week is April Showers Bring Spring Flowers. I have coloured another image using very pale ink again to try and achieve a ‘no lines’ look – it is so difficult to do and really makes you think hard about your colouring.

I have been good and even decorated the inside of my card and made a matching box ….. How’s that for being more organised!!!!

I will try and get better pictures for you later

I am dashing off on a study day but should be back around 4pm so I will get my camera back out and hopefully the light will be a bit better.

Simon Says … Your Favourite Tool

Good morning and OMG what is going on with the weather??? It is snowing here, well sleet now but it is hard to believe we were in a mini heat wave last week. Who would have thought though that my wintery card would be perfect for today.

Our theme on Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog is to use your favourite tool.

My favourite tool has to be my Cuttlebug, I would honestly be lost without it. If I am not using it for my dies or embossing it is a rather handy foot rest, lol. I know I shouldn’t do that but it is just so comfy crafting with my feet on it.

Crafter’s Companion Monthly Challenge

Good afternoon,here I am a little later than planned with this months card for Crafter’s Companion Challenge Blog. Our theme this month is Anything Goes and there is a £30 gift voucher to spend online at Crafter’s Companion if you win!

I have used one of the gorgeous SWALK Winter Cheer stamps and the papers are from the coordinating CD-Rom. I love these images because they are perfect for winter birthdays etc. The sentiment is a fie cut message from Craftwork Cards – I use loads of the little sentiments, they are so handy and cover so many occassions.

I will be back later this week for some more cards showing you the brand new tool that Crafter’s Companion will be stocking. It is the Epiphany tool and it is blumming fab!!!! There are lots of different shapes available – I have posted a video about them below. It will be launched on Create and Craft on Sunday. Love is in the air ……<3

Hi there, this is late for me to be posting but I thought I would give you all a little reminder about the Crafter’s Companion Monthly Challenge Blog …… our theme is ‘Love is in the Air’ so why don’t you get a head start on those Valentine’s Day cards!

I have used the fabulous Winter Cheer SWALK CD-Rom and stamp …. this stamp is called  ‘Love You’ and is a winter take on the classic SWALK couple. This set of stamps is great all winter and they are so versatile. It is lovely having stamps that can be used all winter and not just for christmas.

I am really proud because this is one of the cards I had featured in this months Papercrafts Essentials (issue 74). I made 7 cards showcasing the fab SWALK ‘Winter Cheer’ and one even made the front cover :o)

My little moment is over, ooh I was so proud to have been asked by Sara to do this and even more surprised with the cover!

Anyway, enough of all that nonsense, back to the job in hand. Get your bums over to the challenge blog and take part – there is a fab prize up for grabs but you have to go and find out what it is yourself lol ….. well, I can’t make it too easy can I!!!!

I had a fab day today. I went to see my Mother-in-Law and we had a crafty day. I am trying to convert her into a stamper. Armed with my Spectrum Noirs and stamped images I headed over there. We  had a great day and talked more than coloured but I think there may be a chance that we have a new stamper on the block. She has already bought a few sets of speccies and has told me she is going to sit and colour all night. I am so excited. I will be going again soon for a more productive day so I may even take my camera nd get some evidence to share with you all.

Right, off to watch a spot of telly and soak in a huge bibble bath (or a bubble bath as my lovely little Squirrel likes to call them, nuts she is!!!) ….. not at the same time, don’t have that luxery I am afraid.

Time to Celebrate …….. Brand new SWALK is launched today!!!!!!

Hi there, well I am just way too excited to leave this post until the morning so I decided to share my sneak peek tonight before bed instead. I know lots of you can’t wait until midday for the launch of SWALK’s Winter Cheer by Crafter’s Companion over on Create and Craft TV. It is going to be this week’s Pick of the Week but I have a feeling it won’t last all week so I would get in there quick to avoid disappointment. The 12 stamps and CD-Rom are amazing – the stamps are so cute and the papers are divine – perfect for all year round. Ok, enough chat …. here is my card ….

It certainly is a time to celebrate too – I hope you manage to get your stamps if you are trying. My image was coloured using Spectrum Noir pens ….. they are so easy to use and blend perfectly on the recommended Neenah card.

Right then, I am off to bed …… can’t wait for the live shows with Leann Chivers and to see all the fab samples ….. I love her to bits and she always makes me laugh – hope you enjoy your day whatever you are doing :o)

Still loving my new job – last night I was learning how to put on plastercasts – not the modern funky coloured ones but the old fashioned plaster ones…. quite a messy job,

Sneak peek – SWALK Winter release

Morning folks, oooh I am so excited to be able to share one of the brand new SWALK stamps with you. Crafter’s Companion will be launching them next week so keep checking back for more peeks from the Design Team.

I love this image – Leann thought it suited me down to the ground …. hmmmmm I wonder why! I have coloured her with my scrummy Spectrum Noir pens and added some stickles, gems and pearls for a bit of bling.

As well as the stamps there is also a brand new CD-Rom crammed full of gorgeous papers and elements. The colours and designs are right up my street and I just adore them all.

Not everything is black and white ….x

Good morning, where oh where is the sunshine!!!!! I thought when I woke up this morning that it was going to be lovely but the clouds are building up again. Probably more thunder later on again! I was checking through my camera when I spotted this card I made a couple of weeks ago for Crafter’s Companion. It was for the launch of the Spectrum Noir Pens …. have you got yours yet???

Anyway, I realised that I have not posted it here on my blog. How forgetful!!! It has been everywhere else though – on Facebook, on the Crafter’s Companion News blog and even on Create and Craft but not on my own little space!

Now this was a challenge, the powers that be had asked me to make a card only using the warm grey Spectrum Noir  pens …… rather proud of this one if I am honest, it turned out much better than I hoped!

I had originally used a grey rhinestone for the flower centre but then I thought I would like just a tiny accent of colour so it was then changed for this pretty pink pearl. I then ummed and ahhed if it was the right thing to do but left it with the pink.

The image is one of the beautiful SWALK stamps – probably one of my favourites …… ‘With Sympathy’ and the papers were printed from the SWALK papercrafting CD-Rom using the colouriser to make it black and white.

Afternoon folks, oh dear … why does dancing til 4am seem like such a good idea at the time. Lost most of my day today by just lolling about doing nothing (plus having a little snooze). Thankfully this was a good excuse to slob on the sofa and watch ‘our Leann’ on Create & Craft …. in fact she is on right now. Have you managed to get hold of your new Spectrum Noir pens and Humphrey and SWALK stamps??????

Today’s the day!!!

Morning …… at last you do not have to wait any longer ….. brand new Humphrey and SWALK stamps will be available from today from Crafter’s Companion and I know there are a LOT of happy people about this :o)

Here is a real cutie from the new SWALK collection …… just too cute!! The papers are from the SWALK  Papercraft CD Rom 2 and are gorgeous. I have used Crafter’s Companion satin paper to print on and it is amazing – love the finish ….. feels and looks so fabulous.

I will pop the spectrum noir colours on after work – I know lots of you have been liking this on my posts so I promise to come back later on.

Afternoon to you all, I have had a really lazy so far but about ot start a bit of crafting - have definately got the crafting bug back at last!! My son is at work and hubby due to leave soon so got a few hours to myself. Here is a card I made for yesterdays launch on Create and Craft for Crafter's Companion. I know lots of you ordered your new S.W.A.L.K. stamps yesterday - I can't wait to see what you make with them :o)

S.W.A.L.K. sneak peek

Hiya, ooh I am a bit later than planned. Been an eventful evening here tonight. First of all Ryan took his first drive without any of us so I felt as sick as a dog watching him drive off, what a mum I am, lol. Will feel better when he gets home soon. Then hubby and I popped out only to discover smoke billowing out the back of the localpetrol station. They hadn't even phoned the fire brigade so we had to tell them to get out and dial 999 - I am not kidding!!!!

Crafter's Companion - Brand new S.W.A.L.K. release

Good evening everyone, oooh it seems strange posting at night but I just have to share some news with you all about a brand new S.W.A.L.K. release. As you all know there are already 2 gorgeous collections of these little cuties available from Crafter's Companion but there is a 3rd collection which will be launched on Saturday 12th February on Create & Craft.

Crafter's Companion Monthly Challenge - DT Card

Morning, November already - wow, how did that happen? A new month means a new challenge with Crafter's Companion so I hope you can all find a little time to join in. We have a fab sketch to follow with the theme ' One for the girls'. The rules changed recently which means you do not have to use an image by Crafter's Companion but if you do then your name will be entered twice for the draw!

I really adore this stamp called 'with sympathy' from the new SWALK release and the papers are from the new SWALK CD too. This card could be sent for many reasons but it seems to work for those cards when you want to let someone know you are thinking about them for whatever reason.
