Lili of the Valley - Circles

Morning, I am getting a little fed up off the cloud at the moment, I wish summer would return properly. Oh well, there is no point in moaning about it. Fingers crossed for a good day tomorrow though because my lovely friend is getting married.

We have an easy theme this week on Lili of the Valley ... Circles! I decided to make a card for Dan and Gemma's wedding using their wedding colours of ivory, black and burgandy. I am rather pleased with how it turned out although my photography skills of easel cards leaves a lot to be desired.

I think that this gorgeous stamp is so perfect for the occasion and it really is the most pretty wedding stamp I have ever seen. You can buy 'wedding couple' here. Loads of stickle again - I am so addicted at the moment lol.

A closer look at the main part of my card. I have also made a matching box for the card which turned out really well but I forgot to take a piccy. I will maybe pop it on at the weekend with a few wedding pictures.
Have a wonderful day!

Simon Says .... Paper Piece

Hi there and welcome to a brand new week on Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog. I am pleased to say my blog break was very short lived and I am back already without having to miss a week. Should be back to commenting this week so thanks for putting up with me :o)

I would love to welcome our Guest Designer Jackie to the team for the next few weeks. Her work is gorgeous so please pop over to her blog for a look at more of her wonderful creations.

Our theme this week is paper piecing - there is an explanation on the challenge blog of how to do this if you are unsure. Heidi has generously donated $25 to spend online at the wonderful Simon Says Stamp store with free P&P thrown in!!!!!!

I love this sweet image from CC Designs - she is called Gretel and is one of the sweet pixies - too cute! I have paper pieced her dress and boots in the paper I used to make my card which is Pink Parfait from the Forever Friends range. Loads of stardust stickles - I love this so much, definately my favourite shade.

Other challenges that my card fits with are .....

Sketch and Stash - sketch - neglected CC stamp
Stamp with Fun - Card for a Girl
Quixotic - Shiny Happy People
Crafts & Me - Petals and Pearls

Just Magnolia - Let's get sentimental

Morning and woohoo, Friday again at last!! We have a great challenge on Just Magnolia this week and we have been sponsored by Dies to Die For ... Thanks Tracy!! We would like to see you use sentiments on your project this week alongside your Magnolia image. The sentiment can be any brand of stamp, computer generated or even hand-written, we really don't mind.

My card was made very late last night when I got home at just before 11pm so you must excuse any little errors - the glue was still wet when I took the pic but I am happy that I got it finished in time!

Another non tradtional coloured christmas card - I love the fact you can use whatever colours you feel like .... it gives so much freedom when being creative.

Stamp: Mistletoe Tilda
Sentiment: See D's
Medium: Copics
Papers: Dovecraft 'Christmas Fancy'
Flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts
Tools: Fancy Tags
Other: Stardust Stickles

Have a great Friday xxx

Lili of the Valley and some news about the brand new christmas stamps!

There is some great news for you all - Lili of the Valley have launched their next lot of christmas stamps - all animals and wow, if you like cute you will love these. Hop on over for a little look - they are so gorgeous

Onto my card for this week - we have a really great sketch to follow. I do not think I have done it justice at all because I decided late last night I would make a card and so it is a little rushed. I have used one of the new stamps ... just love these cute polar bears - this stamp is called 'Snow Bears' and I love it. Think I may chalk the sky in a deep blue cos it looks like it needs a little more colour.

I have used my new Dovecraft 'christmas fancy' papers that I picked up this week, I am loving all the new christmas stuff that is available just now. I hope you get chance to join in on the challenge blog this week, check the blog for details of this weeks prize xxx

The DT have all used Stampabilities stamps such as House Mouse and Gruffies etc but it is up to you which brand of stamp you use.

This is my first ever gruffies stamp( Hammock Hibernation) and I love him - he is so relaxed in his hammock - perfect for a warm summer day. You can buy this stamp and many more from Simon Says Stamp Superstore so have a browse and treat yourself. The papers are also available online here.

I am really excited because hubby has been working really hard fitting new storage and a new desk for me downstairs so that I can craft with the rest of the family around me instead of being stuck upstairs in the loft (which is where I thought I wanted to be, lol). I am going to start moving my stash this afternoon - lord only knows how long it will take but I can't wait!! Laptop is still a nightmare and it had to be wiped again at the weekend but hey ho, nothing on it this time to lose lol.

Simon Says .... Sing It Baby!!!

Good evening everyone and I am just gonna share my DT card with you this week for Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog. This week our theme is to make your project inspired by a song/lyrics. Heidi from Simon Says Stamp webstore has generously offered one lucky winner a $25 spending spree!!!!

My card is inspired by the most beautiful song 'In the arms of angel' and I have included a you tube video for you all to listen to it at the end of my post. I thought this beautiful Whiff of Joy stamp called Confirmation Melinda from the Guardian Angel collection was perfect. I have teamed her up with the pretty papers from Basic Grey which were punched using another of my growing collection of Martha Stewart Punches. Not much else apart from some pretty ribbon, a bit of bling and a couple of flowers each side of my sentiment.
I have followed this weeks sketch on Sketch Saturday.

So here is the song ....

Don't forget to join in with my fortnightly candy here!
