CES Challenge GDT with a little sprinkle of sugar!

Good morning, woop woop it is the weekend at last and I am so thrilled to be guest designer for the next few weeks for CES Challenge Blog. I was over the moon when my good buddy Emma asked me to take part with them. This week the theme is Forever Autumn and you can interpret this how you like. It was a great chance for me to play with some images that I haven't used in so long .... I had so much fun!

I have inked up this old Sugar Nellie stamp - god I love her. I really enjoyed colouring her and it made me realise that although I love being on DTs sometimes it is lovely just to chose and image that you want to, regardless of who makes it. So here is my guilty pleasure for this week!

My card also fits the following challenges.....

The Sugar Bowl - Sketch + Ribbons & Bows

I will be back later with Music Sabes My Soul Saturday, have a fab morning xxx

Pickin' apples on a lazy Sunday morning.

Happy Sunday everyone, I hope you are all having a nice weekend so far. Well as promised I am back again with a new card for you all, I am really on a roll at the moment and I am enjoying my mojo whilst it has decided to grace me with it's presence! I dug out this oldie but oh so beautiful Sugar Nellie stamp to play with, I just love her and she melts my heart every time I look at her ..... such a perfect image. I have used an unusual colour combo for me but I was inspired by the beautiful colours in the BG wisteria pad which I was lucky enough to win as part of a recent challenge. Nikki from Bunny Zoe Crafts had it out to me straight away and I was able to get my hands on it within a couple of days - thanks for such a speedy service hun! Very little else to tell about my card apart from I coloured the card candy from Craftwork Cards with my copics and that's about it. No fuss with this card, I figured it did not really need anything else - sometimes less is more, don't you think!

A night of tears and a day of smiles ...and now some fabulous news too!

Before I share my card with you I have another tale to tell you. As many of you know I am back at university and had my first essay to do in December. Well, the results were due out yesterday and were available on the University website from midnight. So of course I had to stay up and get them didn't I!! I had worked really hard at my essay but did not feel confident at all about if I would pass or not. Trying to find the score was a nightmare ..... I found a '70' on my paper but thought that's not right because it is marked at honours level and I just wasn't at all confident. I then opened another box and saw a very sad 27. OMG not only had I failed but had done it big style. I burst into tears, emailed my tutor and went to bed, crying most of the night. Imagine my surprise when I got a confused email back from my tutor telling me I had got an 'A'!!!!!! OMG I am so happy, looks like I did get 70% after all, I am so happy!!!!! Phew ..... that was an awful night, I felt sick in my stomach!

Now I have got all that off my chest let me share my card with you! I have dug out another old but beautiful stamp. Do you know I have never used my Copics on her before, only pencils, so it was lovely to have a play.

I am back with a card ... at last!

Yoohooo, do you remember me?????? Well it is 1 day short of a month since I posted a card - shocking but true!!!!! Anyway, it is good to be back and actually a little strange. It was so wierd going back in my craft room and I swear I have almost forgotten how to craft!!!

A lady at work has asked me to make a card for her daughter (well, 2 cards actually - other will be posted in a couple of days). She is great to make cards for cos I take a load of images in and she chooses the ones she like - isn't that so much easier than stressing about if they will like what you decide on!

So it came together quite quickly really and I must admit it feels good to be back. Have a busy week with cards this week and then it should hopefully settle into my new slower pace - woohoo. I am going to start trying new styles etc and have a little fun with my cards from now since I stepped down from a couple of DTs. I will love any feedback you have to offer on my new cards but please be nice, lol. Here are a few challenges I managed to fit to this card. Because this card is for a 13 year old girl I have classed this as a new teenager for the 'New' themed challenges - hope this isn't cheating :o)

My Time to Craft - Anything Goes

I have dug out some fab papers from last year - Papermania's Naughty or Nice pack and I just love the bright colours. I have also used some delish new flowers too that a sweet friend picked up for me at Ally Pally last weekend - thanks babe I love them :o)

Lili of the Valley / Daisy and Dandelion #2

Good morning, and I can hardly believe it is my 2nd week already with LOTV. This week we have a wonderful sketch by our very own Donalda .

This is such a great sketch and I loved using it, will definately be a favourite of mine now :o)
Managed a few old favourites here too, love pink and green and this image is one of my all time favourites - she is so adorable!

Here is a closer look at my image and flowers - just love these spacers from Poppicrafts.
I hope you can all find some time to play along, I really enjoyed visiting lots of you last week :o)

-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-

Welcome to the 2nd week with D&D, it was lovely to see so many of you joining in with our first challenge and I hope you all come back again week after week. Our 2nd theme is ....

THANKYOU

I just love all the stamps in the range and it is so hard to just choose one. But in the end I chose cute little Bubbles. I love the gorgeous flower she is holding and decided to stamp it out a few more times and pop them with some 3d foam pads for a bit extra dimension.

The sweet polka dot ribbon is from my stash and I stamped a cuddlybuddly sentiment and used my nesties to cut it out.
Don't forget there is still time to send a card to Tracy for our troops and as a thankyou you will be entered in a draw to win a Martha Stewart punch. Check here for further details!
I hope you all have a fabulous day :o)

ABC Challenge ... F is for ....

Good morning my lovlies, how are you all??? I hope you are all having a good week. I am glad to say it is my day off today but have lots planned. Getting my hair cut and coloured (got to look lovely for next weekend!!) this morning, then I have my contact lens check (got to be able to see next weekend, lol) this afternoon. Also HAVE to squeeze in a starbucks with cake cos it is the Wednesday law and I didn't have one last week :o(
I am rambling but I must shut up long enought to tell you about this weeks challenge on ABC

F is for FLOWERS

Exciting news too because we have a guest designer this week!!! I am so thrilled that the wonderfully talented Kim Piggott has joined us this week. You must visit her blog, although I expect many of you are regular visitors already. Kim makes the most breath-taking cards and her colouring is out of this world!

Here is my little card for this week. I was very brave and decided to make my own roses for this weeks challenge after seeing a tutorial a couple of nights ago. Can I find it now to link to it ..... nope!! If I find it again I will edit my post. Thankfully I read the tut right through and had a pretty good idea how to make them. You basically just need a 6 petal punch, some glue and a cocktail stick - how easy!!

Another Gorjuss Girl although a naughty friend of mine is trying to brainwash me into thinking they are evil spirits (bad bad friend, lol .... you know who you are!!!) and I almost agreed .... eek!! I do, however, still love them and will continue to do so until they have all been inked up at least once :o)

Here is a close up of my flowers (if you click the pic you can see it even closer still!!). I have to admit I am rather chuffed with how they turned out, especially as it was my first attempt :o)
I added a litter bit of stickles for some sparkle but apart from that kept my card quite simple. I really wanted the flowers to be the main focus rather than the image. I hope lots of you join in this week - it is a really easy challenge so lets see you all playing along!! Remember to check out the rest of the DT's cards - there are some gorgeous examples. A final thankyou again to Kim for joining us !
Have a fabulous day
