The Paper Shelter ; Fancy Folds

Hi, I am back and have had a really good sleep so I should be all set for mylast night shift tonight. I have then got 11 days off, woop woop, so expect lotsof cards from me!!!!!!

So it is time for my DT card for The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog and our theme this week is FANCY FOLDS.

10-02.12a

I decided to make a side stepper card and a triangle wedge box. This is the first time I have made a side stepper and have since found tutorials on the internet but I think mine works ok hehe.

10-02.12b

This gorgeous image is 'Cirque' and is available for The Paper Shelter.

10-02.12c

The gorgeous papers are from the Gypsy Sisters paper pack by Kaiser Crafts. I love these pads because you also get diecut borders and elements. I have used one on the insert to write my message.

10-02.12d

A closer look at the sweet image. I didn’t have any ink to put around the edge so I used some eyeshadow lol, it worked really well. Don’t worry, it was a new one – I bought a huge palette of mixed colours to use for my cards.

10-02.12f

And here is my wedge box decorated with the diecut elements.

10-02.12g

These are so easyto make and I should make a lot more I think. I just used my Ultimate Pro ….couldn’t live without it.

So there you go, a long post but I do like lots of piccies to share with you all.

I hope you can join us this week – head over to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog for more inspiration by the DT and also for details of this weeks prize.

Huge Magnolia Sale

Hiya, just thought I would pop on here tonight to let you know I have taken leave of my senses and put almost 50 Magnolia stamps up for sale on my Ebay account.

There is a good variety across different collections including Magnolia minis, accessory stamps and of course lovely Tilda and Edwin stamps are also there. Most have only been used once and a few have only been used today to show the stamped image for the Ebay photos.

If you would like to have a look then pop over to my Ebay page HERE. I combine postage so hopefully you should be able to grab yourself a bargain.

I am heading off now to catch up with Dancing on Ice .... been on the computer most of the day uploading my stamps.

Ooooh I have had a facelift .... well sort of x

I am feeling just a tad girly now that I have my gorgeous new template ...... isn't it pretty!!!!!! All I have to do now is get it all back in order and maybe have a little delete here and there too. Look what happens when the sun shines - even my blog gets a spring clean. If you fancy a change from the boring templates that Blogger provides then have a look at Leelou Blogs ....... love mine so a great big thankyou to sites like this. I can now edit my sidebar again too from my homepage rather than having to go into page elements on the design tab - what a godsend .... the other way was driving me nuts since it changed to the new format. If you decide to get a new template drop me a comment, would love to see what they all look like on real blogs.

Have a fab weekend xxx

Music Saves My Soul Saturday

Good morning folks. What a lovely few days I have had. Yesterday I met up with a few crafty friends for a colouring daywith our speccies. What a wonderful time we all had. Sara Davies popped in too for a little bit of a natter and a colour - great to see you hun.

I thought I better jolly well get Music Saves My Soul back up seeing as I was a real slack Alice last week and forgot all about it ...oops.

I had my iPod on shuffle yesterday whilst I was travelling to and from Darlington  when I heard this little beauty from Goldfrapp ..... it has been ages since I heard it and the video always makes me giggle.

Hope you can all play along. Just post a song on your blog then add a link tothe little blue froggy below.

Have afab weekend, I am heading off to drop Ryan off .... first stop, I am told, is McDonalds for brekkie - teenagers lol x

Stamp Storage: A Step by Step Guide

Good afternoon folks, well I thought I would pop by today and share a little step by step guide with you all on storing stamps. If you are like me you probably have more stamps than you know what to do with. Mine are in drawers and boxes all over my craft room. So I have decided to get organised .... at last. I know there are lots of ways to store stamps and it is very much a personal preference but after a chat on Facebook last night I decided to share how I am storing mine. Hope you find it useful.....

1. What you will need:
A laminator and A4 laminating pouches
A4 Ringbinder and punched pouches
Stamps
Ink pad
Cheap A4 printer paper (do not use your best paper)

2. Spray the reverse of your stamps with Stick & Spray. Leave for 30 seconds to become tacky.

3. Position your stamp on your rock-a-block and apply ink.

4. Stamp your images onto your paper.

5. Insert stamped paper into laminating pouch and laminate following manufacturers instructions. Allow to cool.

6. Place your stamps on the reverse of the laminated sheet. These will stick in place ready for use because you have already applied Stick & Spray.

7. Place laminated sheet with stamps inside punched pouch. I also like to keep the stamp insert inside the pouch for additional reference. This set is Popcorn the Bear Souffle Collection Say it with Flowers Stamp Set.

8. Store inside your ringbinder.

9. Repeat for all your stamps to create a super organised storage system!

*****

I hope you found this useful. I like to store my stamps on the reverse of the sheet so that I can see quickly and clearly what stamps are on that sheet. It is fab for all the accessory and sentiment stamps too because I always forget about these. I am hoping now that I can see what I have I will use them even more.

..... Now for the rest of them .... see you in a few weeks when I finish lol

Happy stamping folks xxx

Simon Says … Tag It!!!!!

Hello, it is me again …. shock horror!!!! This time it is for Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog …… our theme this week is Tag It and the Design Team are all using products by Tim Holtz ….. Lord and Master to many of you I know, lol.

06-02.12

I really tried lots of new things this week. First of all I have coloured on Kraft …. OMG are you seeing this Sheila!!!!! How long have you been nagging me to try it rofl.

06-02.12a

I have coloured my image using my Prismacolor pencils – oh boy, that took me back to my time before Copics ….. very different not using a white background I can tell you!

06-02.12b

Considering I am not hugely influenced by Tim Holtz I was amazed just how many of his products I had, looks like maybe he does influence me a little bit without me even realising it.

A huge thankyou to Heidi for once again giving one lucky entry a $50 spending spree at Simon Says Stamp Online Store.
