Anything but a square with LOTV

Morning, don't faint .... look, I have my post done before work!!!!! This week is flying by, soon be the weekend again. I am happy again after my weigh in last night at slimming world, lost another 2.5lbs so that is now 10lbs in 10 weeks. I swear this diet is too easy.

Anyhoo, enough of all that, we have a really nice challenge for you this week on Lili of the Valley. We would love to see your cards as long as they are ....

I decided to make a little desk top calendar using my circle nesties .... I wish I had made more of these for my family and friends - note to make some in December for next year! The image is one of the beautiful new fairies by Molly Harrison availabla on the LOTV website. This beauty is called Autumn Calling. The sentiment is also by LOTV and you can buy this and others HERE

A closer look at the stamp ..... little touches of glamour dust have been added to her wings for some sparkle and I have made a little bouquet using flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Flower Fairy fancies some challenges

Good morning to you all. I thought I would share a card with you today that I made a few weeks ago for Crafter's Companion. I think we all just adore fairies and the Flower Fairies range is so beautiful.

This flower fairy is Rose-Bay Willow Herb and she is stunning and such a joy to colour (and easy too). The papers are from the matching CD - Flower Fairies Disc 6 and is full of beautiful papers and extras that we all come to expect from Crafter's Companion. Her wings have extra shine and sparkle and are so pretty in real life - I used the iridescent spray and sparkle varnish. I have used a template by Bazzill for the swirls - you can get a great selection of pearls and bling HERE from Dies to Die For

So, I think I just might need to enter a few challenges with this card .... it has been so long since I joined in anything ... here goes.....

Hi there, hope you are having a nice Saturday so far. I have just had a fabulous sleep and feel ready for the weekend ahead. Have you all got your songs ready to share again this week on Music Saves my Soul???? I need to keep a notepad in my bag I think .... have heard lots of songs and then forgotten them all again, lol ... must be my age ;o)

I remembered this beautiful song by Christina Aguilera. Her voice isone of the most amazing voices of all time I think. It is such a pity her comeback is not as huge as it ought to be. That aside she is still just incredible. She always manages to put her emotion in her ballads and they just make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up every time. Hope you like this song .......

Just Magnolia - A sketch

Hi everyone, I have made it to the end of the week and survived again .... who would work in healthcare at this time of year!!!

I am late again with my post for Just Magnolia - I had hoped to get it posted before work this morning but I was busy getting things organised for my son's weekend away .... I dread to think what a weekend of beer at Butlins has in store but I can imagine!! They are there to enjoy the brass band weekend though so I am sure it is not all drinking ..... well that is what I keep telling myself lol.

Back to this weeks challenge on Just Magnolia. I am sad to say I am leaving the DT. I have been with this amazing challenge from the very beginning when the wonderful Bev and Jacqui asked me to join them. I was so in awe, let me tell you - the line up was just incredible and then there was little old me! I have enjoyed myself so much but I feel it is the right time for me to say my goodbyes. I will miss the DT so much - they are an incredible bunch of supportive ladies and so very talented!

I am thrilled though that my last challenge is a sketch!!! I love these so much - thankyou Donalda, this one rocks!!

 I really loved making this card so very much. Lots of embellies and punching - just what I like best of all! Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts - I need to get me a new order in - they have so many new blooms in stock ... can feel a spend coming on!

Morning ... woop woop it is the weekend after possibly one of my most stressful weeks at work in a long time. So as you can imagine I am a happy girl now that it is Saturday. Hope you have all had a decent week and feel like sharing some songs with me.....

I have decided to go for a new song this week. I love music I can dance to and this is the sort of stuff they play in one of my favourite clubs in York - lots of cool RnB influenced dance music.

Lili of the Valley

Hi everyone, oooh does anyone have a few spare hours for me .... had to work yesterday on my day off because of staff illness and I just don't know if I am coming or going. Never mind, it will soon be the weekend. Good news is 4lbs off on my first weigh in so I am a happy bunny.

I hope you are all ready to share some wonderful music with everyone. It seems such a long time since we last played along. 

I have been thinking about what to put on my blog and came up with this all goodie.... hope you like it

I heard on the radio that most people like this song because the beat is similar to a heartbeat and is supposed to be comforting as it resembles the mothers heartbeat to her unborn baby. Now I don't know about that vut I do know that I like it!

I also thought I would share a clip that made me laugh a couple of weeks ago on tv .... are any of you watching come fly with me?? It is so funny ......
