Papertake Weekly - A sketch

Yeah .... it is time for Papertake Weekly again and it is sketch time!!!! We have a fab sketch for you all to follow and I hope you do a bit better than I managed, lol. I was going to rotate the sketch apart from I did not resize my gorgeous Kenny K digi small enough (duh). Instead I have used my artisitic license ... or something like that :o)

I am officially in love with these images now. Oh my word, it took ages to colour but I am pleased with it. I knew I wanted her to be in pink and black immediately and pulled out these very old papers that I have had for a few years, aren't they fab!!  I spotted the lovely Annika has now done on a wonderful tutorial for skin using copics on the same image .... a day too late for me but worth a visit if you want to see how to colour this image properly. You can view her blog here.

Apologies for my pics recently .... this is so vibrant in real life ... the pink is really bright ... oh well, I am sure you get the general idea.

Music Saves My Soul Saturday

Good morning my lovelies, how are you today??? Got any good tunes stuck in your head that you would like to share? If so you have come to the right place. I am delighted with how many shared last week and I have to say sorry for not leaving my comments yet - I will be popping round in a bit to leave some comments.

My song this week is a good old dance classic. It really changed nights out and dance music and was one of those songs everyone remembers ..... I think so anyway lol.

Now that's a tune!!!

Hope you enjoyed it. Don't forget if you want to play along just add your name to the linky below and if you could share the logo on your sidebar that would be great. Thanks to the lovely ladies who join in every week .... love listening to your choices!!

Oooh, if you are going to the NEC this weekend havea fab time - I know lots of you are going.... I will be there next time, couldn't make it today:o(

Finally, don't forget to change your clocks tonight..... ok, so we lose an hours sleep but it is worth it for lighter nights -woohoo. Have a great weekend folks xxxxxxxxxx

What's on your workdesk Wednesday

Well ..... not a whole lot of crafting that's for sure, lol. I am just about to meet my friend for lunch so basically just a shedload of make-up!!!!!!! Hmmm I bought my crafty giraffe bag for my copics but somehow it became the new home for some of my cosmetics .... will need to get another one I think!

There is a little hint of my card for tomorrow though, if you look very closely, lol. If you want to join in or just have a look at everyones desks then pop over to Julia's Stamping Ground and have a good old nosey! I think this is the first time I have joined in and I am going to do my best to play along each week from now on. Perish the thought cos my desk is usually piled high with all sorts.
Hope you have a great day and enjoy this glorious weather xxx

Papertake Weekly ...... and a thankyou to Mo!

Hi everyone, ooh isn't the weather beautiful Not a cloud in the sky and it is warm .... yes WARM!!
Not long now until mummy's day so we would love it if you could join us on Papertake Weekly by making a mothers day card ... or just a girly card if you do not have a mummy to make one for :-(

My image is by the uber talented Mo Manning who kindly offered it for only $1 for the first 1000 purchases - all the money went to help with the Japanese disaster. You can still buy What's cookin' but it is now back at the full price of $3 (still a bargain) but the charity donation has finished. Thankyou for donating all that cash Mo!!!!

I have used 'those papers' again, I just love MME and you can buy them from Tracy at Dies to die For ... scrummy or what!

Flowers and lace from Wild Orchid Crafts - I am just loving lace at the moment, so very pretty.

Music Saves My Soul Saturday

Hello all you lovely blogging folk, are you ready for a bit of music to kick start the weekend????? For a change I knew exactly what I wanted to play for you all ...... this just sounds of summer holidays and fun times ... more in a minute.

So my choice ...... the new Jennifer Lopez song, or J Lo to you and me ...... just loving this. Turn it up full volume cos that is how it should be played. I am pleased she is back again, hopefully she will make a decent comeback this time. I think American Idol has really helped her popularity again. Enough of my waffle ...... enjoy!!!!

I shall have to have a little dance later tonight to this at home ... can you believe it is my first weekend in sonce before christmas!! Luckily my next few weekends are booked up so looks like you can't keep me in for too long, lol.

Don't forget if you want to play along just add your name to the linky below and if you could share the logo on your sidebar that would be great. Thanks to the lovely ladies who join in every week .... love listening to your choices!! Hope to see some more new girlies this week!

My name is Marcea .... and I am a ribbon addict!

Ok so I think I may be in need of serious help, like really SERIOUS help. It would appear I have a slight addiction to buying ribbons .... don't we all though :o) Ribbon storage is a nightmare isn't it but let me tell you something, I think I have the answer ..... interested???...... well read on.

At first glances my ribbons look fairly organised .... pretty jars of yumminess, ooh I am drooling over them already

A good old craft drawer stuffed with reels and packs of ribbon ..... plus all the bits that wouldn't go in my jars.

No wonder they wouldn't fit in my jars - they are stuffed to the brim

I don't even know what is in these any more, it is a bit dangerous removing a lid - ribbon just spills everywhere!

Also, my lovely ribbon is all creased when I want to use it so I have to get the old iron out - something I hate at the best of times.

Can you believe all this was in that scabby old drawer....

Just how much ribbon does one person need

Love papermill shop satin ribbon (can you tell, haha)

More and more

... and all those little bargains I couldn't turn down

and more .... hope papermania appreciate my purchases

Sigh, we just can't part with it though can we.

So what is the answer to my storage problems .........

The ribbon ring - have another of these beauties hopefully arriving tomorrow ..... will post later in the week to let you know how I got on with them and piccies of my neat new storage solution!

There are loads of ribbon storage tips on Really Reasonable Ribbon's Ramblings Organization week (phew, not easy to say fast 3 times lol) so pop over and have a look and win some storage solutions too!!

Hmmm ..... better not show you my flowers, lol xxx

Your wait is over...... LOTV new stamps on sale!!!

Have you managed to get yours yet????? Come on, hurry up before they fly off the shelves!

It is release day for the 18 brand new animal stamps from Lili of the Valley

Go grab yours HERE!!!!!!

I would love it if you popped over and said hello to Karen and have a little look around her fabulous blog. I am always interested to hear about what products are out there and if they really work or not.

I am just off for a lovely soak in a big bubble bath and then treat myself to some wonderful free body lotion that Karen wrote about on her blog ..... I am officially a 'lazy cow' .... you will have to read more to find out what on earth I am talking about ..... thankyou Karen for all your great tips and reviews xxx

Music Saves My Soul

Morning, eek I am getting quite late with my posts for MSMS but you know it is worth waiting for. I have been so busy with decorating that I haven't visited you all yet from last week but I promise to come see you all today.

There was only one video I could share this week and that is the goddess that Is Gaga .... you know I adore her. The intro is rather long, and slightly odd (true Gaga style, lol) but she is wonderful and I won't hear a bad word said so ssshhhhh ;o)

If you want to skip the intro move up to about 2mins 30 secs xxx

Mama monster has done it again in my eyes.

If you can't view this you will have to have a look on you tube ... if you feel so inclined.

Here is a piccy from when I saw her in concert last year .... she was ... yep, you guessed it .... amazing!!!!

Hope you enjoyed it. Don't forget if you want to play along just add your name to the linky below and if you could share the logo on your sidebar that would be great. Thanks to the lovely ladies who join in every week .... love listening to your choices!!

I am not sure why the links are not showing on the linky thing .... will leave it and see if it sorts itself out - had a look and all looks correct from my end so who knows ... probably blogger being naughty xxx

Thankyou to the inlinkz admin team for helping me display all the fab entries :o)

Lili of the Valley - A Sketch .... and another sneak peek

HI there, Thursday already and my week off is flying! We had a hair brain idea to redecorate the hall and landing so guess what I am doing .... yep, sanding and painting all the woodwork (including the spindle bannister ... groan). Never mind, it will look great once it is papered and finished. We have even knocked out a false ceiling the old owners had put in so it is much better ... or will be when it is not looking like a building site.

It is a good job I have my crafting to keep me sane. It is another challenge from us here at Lili of the Valley and we have a great sketch by the lovely Bev for you all to follow. Now I don't have anything to cut large circles but did you know that the lid off Carte D'or ice cream is perfect for the curve on this sketch .... see, ice cream really is good for your curves hahaha.

This cute stamp is from the new set which will be released next week (9th March) and these little cute bunnies are proving a big hit with the DT. Remeber to pop over to the challenge blog to see the DT's cards but also pop over to our inspirations blog for even more sneak peeks! You know when you buy papers cos you like them but aren't sure when you will use them .... well that is just the case with these, but when I saw that toadstool I knew these papers would fit the bill!! I also found a sweet little charm too ..... it is ages since I used any of these!
