Crafting just for fun!

Good afternoon folks. Well it is official – I am losing my marbles!!!! I got up at 5am today for work and arrived for the start of my shift at 7am. Well I would be starting my shift if I was supposed to be at work …. yep I wasn’t due back until tomorrow… groan! Not to worry, I headed for the drive back home kicking myself for not checking my diary.

I decided to stay up and cracked on with a couple of DT cards and then I thought I should try something different. Woohoo, I made a card just for the fun of it and wow, I thoroughly enjoyed myself!!

I have had this lovely image from Saturated Canary coloured for a few weeks now and just haven’t had chance to make her up into a card. I am so happy to finally be able to take part in the Saturated Canary challenge because I just adore Krista’s images. Also this week Krista is donating $1 for every entry to a very special cause – you can read all about it on the Saturated Canary Challenge Blog

I used my Spectrum Noir pens to

colour with and I am really pleased with it. I really love the flesh tones of the Speccies. It is first time out for my new leaf die too by Memory Box ….. I think I will be using my Tiny Tendril die a lot in the future, it is such a lovely size.

I am thinking about doing a little colouring session now ready for my next day off blunder lol, it is really nice being able to just create for fun. Here are a couple of challenges that I am entering ….

Spectrum Noir Blog Hop

Welcome to the very first Spectrum Noir Blog Hop! This week our entire design team has come together to start off summer with a grand celebration of Yellow - the color of summer! So here is my card. Talk about last minute!!! I have been on nights all week so only started my card last night. I finally finished it at about 2am but I had sooooooo much fun!!! I have coloured a gorgeous image by Saturated Canary. I printed my digi onto Neenah Card and as you can see Spectrum Noir pens work great with digital images.

I would never really have thought about using so much yellow on a card, I mean yellow boots, come on, lol ..... but I think it works really well. The pens blend so easily and I really do urge you all to have a go at making a yellow card. I am also thrilled because I found this great colour combo for hair. I think it is the quickest I have EVER coloured hair in my crafting life.

Here are the colours I used for my image .....

Skirt & Boots: CT1, CT2, CT3, CT4, GB3 (Soles: GB8, GB10)

T-shirt: BG1, BG2, FS8, Blender

Skin: FS1, FS2, FS3, FS8, TN1

Hair: GB1, GB8, GB10

Bunny: GB1, GB8
