STAMPtember PARTY with Simon Says Stamp ... 2019 with video tutorial

Are you ready to join the best party in town ...... it’s time for the 10th STAMPtember so grab a seat and get ready to join in the fun. Simon Says Stamp have so many wonderful things for everyone this year with fabulous new products plus special offer codes that are being shared on the blogs of the SSS family. Do pop over to the main post on the SSS blog to find out all the details so that you do not miss a thing.

If you can’t wait and you want to see all the new products straight away then head over and CHECK THEM OUT!!! Don’t forget to check out my promotion though first.

I have very kindly been sent the SENDING SYMPATHY stamp set that we all need in our collection .... for those moments when we need to let our nearest and dearest know that we are thinking of them in sad and difficult times.

I decided to try a different style card and I created an inked background using distress ink pads. I really loved how the background turned out so I think I need to invest in buying some pads for blending the ink onto my card.

After creating the background I stamped lots of the lovely foliage stamps along the bottom of the card to create a silhouette effect using Memento Ink. I used my stamping platform for the first time and it really made stamping so much easier.

I kept my card very simple with a flower embellishment and a few flat backed pearls. This stamp set is so versatile and I think you could stamp beautiful frames with the accessory stamps, I just love them so much.

Make sure you visit the other blogs to see what treats you can discover. Also check out Instagram and don’t forget to search these hashtags to make it even easier ... #STAMPtember #simonsaysstamp

Make sure you do not miss STAMPtember® Facebook Lives throughout the month. The first one will be Friday, September 6th, at noon EDT (5pm in the UK).

Throughout STAMPtember we will be celebrating every day posting exclusive collaborations, contests, prizes, special promotions, announcements, and more surprises! Simon’s blog will announce what we have planned every day so make sure to keep checking the blog.

Craft haul ... I've been shopping

Hi everyone, I have been shopping after sooooo long of not crafting. So much has changed!! There are new stores and new products!!!

I have to say that I am so happy that there are now stamping and die pouches - oh my, I cannot wait to start organising everything.

But the biggest thing to be invented for me so fay is the stamping platforms. Oh my goodness ...... what a complete game changer. What an amazing invention.

I was torn between the Misti and the Tim Holtz platforms. In the end I went for Tim Holtz. I really liked that you could use really large pieces of card if you want to plus the nifty lid is just genius. I haven't used it yet but I already know it is going to change how I stamp forever.

I have filmed my craft haul if you are interested to see what else I bought.

I'll be back soon with some new creations
Take care xxxxxxxxxxx

Considering I am not hugely influenced by Tim Holtz I was amazed just how many of his products I had, looks like maybe he does influence me a little bit without me even realising it.

Simon Says … Father’s Day / Male card….

Morning ….. June already … really??? Maybe now we will have a bit better weather, let’s hope so anyway. Just a quick post from me today because I am heading to the gym …. yep, I have a whole month to get this body of mine beachworthy!!! Talk about a challenge lol.
Anyhoo, a new challenge this week on Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog ……… Father’s Day/ Male Card. All the Design Team have been using Tim Holtz products – eek, this is scary for me but do you know what, I quite enjoyed becoming a little more familiar with the Lord, lol.
18-05.11
I have distressed this within an inch of it’s life – AND the papers were brand new so I have been really brave. I have finally got some Cut-n-Dry Foam too from Simon Says Stamp Online Store which means I can use my Distress Inks AT LAST! I am also the last crafter in the universe to get some twine stuff ….. have to admit I am loving this for male cards – I always want to use ribbon so now I have a great alternative.
Don’t forget you have the chance to win a $50 spending spree …. thanks Heidi

Just Magnolia - Vintage

Morning and woohoo, Friday at last! Gee, it sounds like I wish mylife away butyou know what the first week back at work is like after your hols. It has actually been ok so I shouldn'tgrumble and I am going out tonight with my wonderful husband :o)
This week on Just Magnolia I actually groaned when I saw the theme .... only because it is so out of my comfort zone. We want to see VINTAGE themed creations. Now I just usually do nice bright colours and to be honest I wasn't really sure what I should do for my card.

In the end I decided to try and make my card look like an old photograph, so lots of sepia type tones instead of my usual brights! I actually really enjoyed making my card so it just shows it is always really good to try something new.

I have used Magnolia's 'Newly Weds Bridal Couple' from the Wedding Collection and teamed it up with some of my very first papers I bought ...  Papermania's Elegance Collection. I have distressed the edges of all my papers with the amazing Tim Holtz Paper Distresser - OMG how did I ever manage without this great little tool!! Bet you know where my flowers are from ... yep Wild Orchid Crafts ... thanks Paul and Siri, I love them! I have covered my heart with pearls which was punched using Martha Stewarts Lace Scallop Heart Punch - love this punch.

I have also entered my card into the following challenges .....

Creative Craft Challenges - Here comes the Bride
Creative Inspirations - Use old stash ... papers
