Just Inklined Hop

Good morning everyone. Wow, can you believe it is time for another hop already with Just Inklined. Tammy will be hosting this months hop and the theme of ‘Something for the Ladies’

To make the hop more fun there are two hidden spot prizes along the way chosen from those that leave comments on the blogs

You should have arrived on my blog from Lori’s blog.

01-09.12

Now this is certainly a feminine image don’t you think. This digi is called Abigail

01-09.12a

She has been coloured with Copics and decorated very simply. I think the image os so beautiful that it needs very little adding to the card.

01-09.12b

Your next stop on the hop is Jak’s blog. If you get lost on the way you can always start right back at the beginning on the Just Inklined Blog.

A little bit of news …. there is currently a DT call for Just Inklined which you can find HERE so make sure you check it out!!!

Another scheduled post for me so I am hoping it works properly. I always get nervous scheduling hop posts. I will be home this evening to check it and fix any little problems. Have a great day xxx

A little Christmas robin on a miserable day

I saw a little robin in my garden a couple of days ago. Last year we had one nest in our garden shed and it was really exciting waiting for the babies to hatch. They haven’t nested in the shed this year though which is a pity. So I decided to make a card with this lovely Gatepost Robin image available from Just Inklined.

09-08.12

I have coloured my digi with my Copics and added lashings of Stickles!!

09-08.12a

I have added Glossy Accents to the holly berries for some fabulous dimensional shine – they look great with this added over the top.

09-08.12b

Just Inklined

Morning world, well I should probably say goodnight because I am just about to head up to bed but I thought I better sort my post out first because I have a busy morning tomorrow. Ryan is heading off for the week with band so it will be like getting a ship off to sea. It has been lovely having him at home these last few weeks. We will be picking him up in London next Sunday after he performs at the BBC Proms at The Royal Albert Hall. Sorry, I should have issues a proud mamma warning first lol.

I better get my card up before I start rabitting on about something else. Actually, just one more thing. Thankyou soooooooo much. I am now back up at 1000 followers (I still cannot believe it) and I have just about sorted a thankyou candy out. You do not want to miss it so make sure you pop back after the weekend.

Ok…… here is my card ……

I have gone all floral today. I really fancied something different and there are so many beautiful floral images available at Just Inklined. I just loved this pansy image so much, I even googled to try and get some authentic colours.

I have coloured the image with my Spectrum Noirs and dusted the edges with my eBay eye shadows lol. They work really well and are a great substitute for chalks (even though I have loads of chalks haha).

I found a ribbon off cut in my stash which goes really well – not that it looks like it in this photo but I promise you it matches well (honest) in real life.

I have had the Spray & Sparkle out again – this time I have used Irridescent glitter spray – oooh I just love this stuff.
If you get chance please pop over to the Just Inklined Blog for other inspirational posts. There is usually a new post every day with direct links to the stamps making it a really great site.

Just Inklined …. Serenity

Good afternoon and what a great day it is. I have just finished watching the opening ceremony from the Olympics. Wow …… what an amazing show it was …. I feel ever so proud to be British. I have to say how touched I was seeing Muhammad Ali with the Olympic flag, it brought more than a couple of tears to my eyes. Let’s hope we have an enjoyable games without any scandal shadowing the performances.

Onto my card for today. I am sharing a gorgeous image with you all from
Just Inklined.

Now that looks like a good idea for a sunny day don’t you think. The image is called Serenity and the sentiment is from Create with TLC. I can always find the perfect sentiment from them and they just seem to enhance your creation.

I have a hat quite similar to this one so I may need to recreate this scene in my garden later … complete with jug of cocktail :o)

I have coloured with my speccies again. I have to admit I am really happy with the pretty pink shades that I can achieve with these. There is lots more inspiration for you over on the just inklined blog so please check it out.

Oooh I meant to let you all know that Ryan is playing at the Cambridge Folk Festival today with Brighouse & Rastick Brass Band who are playing with The Unthanks. It is a big festival and is televised on Sky Arts HD on channel 129 so fingers crossed I get to see him later. It is on at 6.30pm so I have set my sky box to record.

I’m a lady you know

Good morning everyone – woohoo, the sun is out!!!!!! I had a wonderful evening last night with my gorgeous friend Dawn and we also met up with the equally gorgeous Ben who we trained with all those years ago. The 3 of us haven’t been together for a couple of years so it was great to have a good old chat and catch up.

Onto my card for today and it is a real beauty. I have used 'Charlotte' from Just Inklined and she is one of the new releases this month.  She is just so elegant – I love her.

I have used another word art from Create with TLC  and I am really enjoying using digital sentiments with my images.

Here are the links for the things I used….

OMG … You are soooo embarrassing!!!!!!

Good morning folks, yay for the weekend!!! I am off for a couple of days which is brilliant. Hubby is off too so that is even better. We are going to go out tonight to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary which was yesterday – how time flies.

Anyhoo, onto my card for today. Sometimes you just need a little humour in your life don’t you think. This image from
Just Inklined really made me smile. You can see other fab inspiration over on the Just Inklined Blog. This hilarious image is called Daisy and Watson and you can purchase it from Just Inklined.

I coloured my image first AGAIN before picking my papers …… I will pop the links below if you are interested.

The face of the girl and the dog just crack me up. The dog reminds me of that clip with Harry Secombe when he was doing Songs of Praise and the dog went skidding down the hill on it’s bum behind him hahahaha. The sentiment Plan A is from the fabulous Create with TLC.

Flower Cross - Just Inklined

Good morning my lovelies .... another dry day here and hubby is working hard to try and finish his shed before we go on our hols. It is looking good so far, it just amazes me how men can just build these things from scratch. I suppose it is a bit like us crafters making cards hey :o)

So here is my very first card for the Just Inklined DT. It is really nice to colour something different to my usual cute.

This beautiful image is called 'Flower Cross' and is so easy to colour.

I usually pick my papers first and then colour my image to match but this time I just coloured my image first. I then went through my papers to see what would match. I found these lovely papers by Basic Grey and I think they match perfectly. I might start doing it this way a little more often because I have had these forever and doubt I would have thought to use them for this card.

Lots of pretty pearls and flowers (and some punching too) to finish it all off. There are lots of wonderful cards for inspiration over on the Just Inklined Blog so make sure you pop over for a look.

Challenges:

The Pink Elephant - Sketch
Daisy Doodles - Anything Goes
Stampin' for the Weekend - Show us your Style (lots of embellies and papers)
Totally Gorjuss - Something Yellow

Have a wonderful day xxx
