Lili of the Valley .... A sneak peek!!!

Hi there - how is your weekend???? I am loving having a whole weekend off for a change. I have been very naughty this week though and got totally confused with my days. This meant I was late with my DT card for LOTV challenge. The good news though is that it means I have been able to use a brand new image from LOTV on my card.

I was so excited when I saw all the new stamps which are coming out next month .... you are going to LOVE them sooooooooo much, I promise!!!! All of the stamps will be available at the Hobbycrafts show from Thursday but if you are wanting to order them online you will need to wait until the 10th of November ..... what torture!!!!!!

I have used the sketch from this weeks challenge on Lili of the Valley (so very late, sorry Mummy Fairy) and I have used one of the new stamps. This little lady is called Summer and is a new character for LOTV drawn by Molly Harrison. The stamp is called 'My Best Friend'and is just so adorable.

The sentiment stamp also comes with the stamp so a great little set I am sure you will agree!

This week I heard this song for the first time whilst I was in the car and I immediately loved it. I am not a huge Florence and the Machine fan however I just adore this song.

Simon Says… Anything Goes

Hiya, well I am half way through my nights and I have to say I am getting more used to shift work which is a blessing because I am now able to sleep during the day – thank goodness! Still loving my new job and the people that I work with.

Here is my little offering this week for Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog – the theme is anything goes so a nice easy one for you. The Design Team are all using products by Bo Bunny and Studio Calico this week so check the blog for inspiration and links to lots of gorgeous products.

I decided to make a box for a card I made a few weeks ago. I just adore these Bo Bunny Papers – they are so pretty. I think that decorating the box is really completing the card and makes it look so much nicer when you give the card. I often find they love the box just as much as the card.

Music Saves My Soul Saturday

Hi folks, hope you are enjoying the lovely autumn weather today - it is gorgeous here. Hubby and I are going for a little wander round York then will probably have a bit to eat and sneaky drink by the river.

Saturday also means it is time to all share your songs with Music Saves My Soul ......

I could only really play music by one group this week ..... how sad are we to hear that Westlife are splitting up and calling it a day - I just love them .... the key change and standing and walking to the front of the stage right on cue - ahhhh you can't beat a good old boy band can you!!

Good morning blogland ...... I just thought I would share with you all a recording of my son playing with his band from the weekend. They were playing at The Royal Albert Hall in London. I know lots of you have asked how he is getting on now that he is away studying at The Royal Northern College of Music. Anyway, hope you enjoy it - they sound amazing!!!!

Music Saves My Soul Saturday ..... Come and share you favourite song!

Hi everyone, well here we are again after far too many weeks away. I am not quite sure what happened but suspect my new job and trip away for my reunion had a bit to do with it. Anyway, life is now settling into a new routine for me and so here we are, all ready to start sharing our tunes again each week.

I have had  a couple of people asking me how they can play along so I thought it was a good time to do a quick guide to sharing songs on here.

Basically, all you have to do is find a tune on YouTube that you like and post it on your blog.... narrowing it down to one is the hardest bit! Once you have found your song click the 'share' button under the video and then click 'embed'. This will give you a code that you can copy and paste into your post on your blog (you need to paste this in the 'edit html' mode. You can then switch it back to 'compose' to finish writing your post. Publish your post in the normal way linking to my blog and displaying the MSMS logo either in your post or on your sidebar (I would love for this to become a really regular stop for lots of crafters each week). All that is left to do is to post a direct link to your post using the blue frog (inlinkz) each week so that we can all come and visit you ..... easy huh, lol. If you need any help please just email me or post a comment on my blog and I will get back to you. A link to my email is on my sidebar.

Oooh, one last thing ..... you have all week to post, not just Saturday ..... so no excuses, get sharing x

Time to Celebrate …….. Brand new SWALK is launched today!!!!!!

Hi there, well I am just way too excited to leave this post until the morning so I decided to share my sneak peek tonight before bed instead. I know lots of you can’t wait until midday for the launch of SWALK’s Winter Cheer by Crafter’s Companion over on Create and Craft TV. It is going to be this week’s Pick of the Week but I have a feeling it won’t last all week so I would get in there quick to avoid disappointment. The 12 stamps and CD-Rom are amazing – the stamps are so cute and the papers are divine – perfect for all year round. Ok, enough chat …. here is my card ….

It certainly is a time to celebrate too – I hope you manage to get your stamps if you are trying. My image was coloured using Spectrum Noir pens ….. they are so easy to use and blend perfectly on the recommended Neenah card.

Right then, I am off to bed …… can’t wait for the live shows with Leann Chivers and to see all the fab samples ….. I love her to bits and she always makes me laugh – hope you enjoy your day whatever you are doing :o)

Hi guys, how is your week going so far??? Day off for me and I am only just getting my bum into gear – took me ages to get to sleep last night even though I was shattered …. think my brain was still on night mode. Hopefully a better sleep for me tonight. Ryan is also home from uni for a couple of days …. he has lots of band rehearsals because he is playing in The Royal Albert Hall again at the weekend …. proud mamma moment :o)

Hi folks, was just about to say good morning but then realised it is half way through the afternoon. I am on nights just now and have just woken up so it is my morning. Still loving my new job – last night I was learning how to put on plastercasts – not the modern funky coloured ones but the old fashioned plaster ones…. quite a messy job,

Sneak peek – SWALK Winter release

Morning folks, oooh I am so excited to be able to share one of the brand new SWALK stamps with you. Crafter’s Companion will be launching them next week so keep checking back for more peeks from the Design Team.

I love this image – Leann thought it suited me down to the ground …. hmmmmm I wonder why! I have coloured her with my scrummy Spectrum Noir pens and added some stickles, gems and pearls for a bit of bling.

As well as the stamps there is also a brand new CD-Rom crammed full of gorgeous papers and elements. The colours and designs are right up my street and I just adore them all.

Simon Says ….. Sparkle and Bling

Morning everyone, I can’t believe it has been 2 weeks since my last post!!!!! I have been so busy with my new job (which I just love) and also it was my high school reunion which was brilliant.

Back to real life now though so hopefully I should get settled into my new routine of full time and shifts and hopefully get a bit of crafting done again.
