Good afternoon everyone, ofh dear I am running verrrry late. I have just finished the post for Beading Friends Forever and I have just realised I haven’t even done this post. So I am hoping to do a super quick post and then go in later and fill in the gaps, links etc.
It is the 3rd month now of my little baby, Beading Friends Forever and I am so proud of how it is going. There have been so many fabulous entries and I have met lots of new crafters. There are 2 themes again this month – a tutorial showing how to make an 8 warp Kumihimo braid and the theme which is to create a jewellery set. Thanks to Beads Direct for sponsoring the challenge. This is my bracelet and earring set created with Czech fire polished crystals and Chinese crystal bicones ….. sparkly!!!!! The bracelet is made using triangle weave stitch – a new pattern for me, and I just loved making it. I have kept the earrings very simple. I may make another pair of earrings which are fancier – if I do I will post them on my blog for you to see.
My Kumihimo bracelet was quite a fiasco. My first idea failed, my second idea saw me running out of beads. I hated my 3rd attempt and so here is my 4th attempt which I do like. I am going to try a few variations of Kumihimo though so be prepared to see a few attempts over the next few weeks.
