Papertake Weekly – It’s time for a sketch!

Hi guys, well another week already and it is a special day today for 2 very important people in my life. It is the birthday of my wonderful son Ryan (18 today) and my mum (not 18 today lol) so a double celebration all round!

Of course we can celebrate with a brand new challenge on Papertake Weekly and it is sketch time – woop woop!!

Music Saves My Soul Saturday

Oh happy days ...... I am a rather excited bunny today because I have some amazing news to share - well I think it is rather amazing!!!!! I had a little message last night from my fabulous sister in law to let me know she has got me a ticket to see Take That on the 8th June in Manchester - OMG ...... to say I am excited is a bit of an understatement ..... I have been dancing around my room since I found out.

So in honour of my news I naturally have to play a little tune from the boys - would be rude not to!

They just get better and better, so nice to see them all together!!

Papertake Weekly with a little sprinkle of glitter and Humphrey

So sorry I am late, been ever so manic here but well, better late than never hey lol. It is time for another challenge on Papertake Weekly and this week we want to see Pale and Pretty pastels – eek, not my usual but I love working with all different colours. 

Well it is no surprise that I have another Humphrey card today – this little guy is just toooooooooo cute. I have used another of the quick cards – just print and stick – too easy!!!!! Crafter’s Companion are launching him tonight on Ideal World at 9pm (just incase any of you have been asleep for the past week, lol) so please do switch over and have a gander at the cutest elephant around.

Oooh almost forgot – how are you loving my sparkle????? I have let loose with my Spray and Sparkle (iridescent) – it is lush!!!!!! A varnish with all the glitter locked inside – fab!!! That means no more glitter falling off your card etc because it is all encapsulated (is that the right word??? – just checked website and it is the EXACT word hahahaha) inside the varnish so all your sparkle stays exactly where it should.

Right, I am off – need some grub and a cuppa then I am gonna plonk my bum on the sofa and watch the show xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Humphrey lights up my life

 

… ok, so perhaps it is a little bit of a cheesy title but look … he really does! It is ages since I decorated a candle and I loved doing it! I have made a tutorial for this and will be sending it over to the gang at Crafter’s Companion so that you can all see the step by step instruction. There are already a few Humphrey tutorials there so pop over to Humphrey’s special corner on the website.

I really, really love these stamps. Yes ….these ….. the image is mage up from 2 stamps which have been carefully designed to match up perfectly to create one long conga line … how cute! The fact that they are 2 separate stamps gives you the crafter much more versatility with them … honest. Have a peek at Jacqui’s card to see what I mean!

So just one more sleep then you can get your little mitts on these fab stamps and CD roms for yourselves. Don’t forget you can still take part to win the entire range over on the news and inspiration blog and there is a freebie on the Crafter’s Companion website too.

An elephant never forgets ……..

…… but I do!! Oops, forgot to come back yesterday with my Humphrey card, naughty blogger that I am. Was busy wallpapering (how dull) and lost track of time – thankfully have a few hours off this afternoon so I am busy catching up :o)

Ok, so here is the cutest elephant around. As you know it is only 2 days now until the launch on Ideal World at 9pm woop woop!!!!!

How sweet are these little girlie elephants sharing their ice cream. I am so thrilled that Crafter’s Companion have secured the license for these!!!! I have made a gatefold card using the ultimate pro – this sure makes life easier without all that measuring!

Oooh what’s inside lol ……..

I resized some notepaper from the CD Rom to make a matching insert. The sentiment and little icecream stamp are all part of this stamp set ….. perfect for decorating your card inside and out.

Music Saves My Soul Saturday

Morning ....... woohoo it is the weekend and the sun is shining (about time!). I am stillnot getting round to visiting all of you (so sorry) but I have been so busy with making samples for Crafter's Companion ..... have you seen Humphrey yet???? Eeeek, too too cute - have a flick through my blog to see what I am on about lol.

Ok, so there is only one person I want to play this week but which song????? She is no stranger to my little Saturday slot and many of you know how much I love the amazing talent that is Lady Gaga. Her brand new cd comes out on Monday and I will be there buying it before work first thing!!!! The fabulous thing is I have already heard it because she posted it on the internet - omg it is AMAZING!!!!!

Helpful Humphrey!

Morning, day 3 of sneak peeks and here is such a sweet stamp. Again useful for so many occassions. Have you been over to the news and inspiration blog yet???? Make sure you check it out for details of other cards as well as all the latest news. I am sure you already know by now that these stamps and the double CD rom from Crafter's Companion are launched on Ideal World at 9pm next Tuesday (24th May)

I have coloured this image with my copics but guess what, I cheated with the papers!!!!! This is why Humphrey is so helpful ..... one of the new features on the CDs this time is that there is a quickie section why has a preprinted layout of papers ... as in my piccie and it also comes with a sweet decoupage topper and elements to decorate including sentiments. I used some of the paper and sentiment but added my stamped image to finish - how easy is that. So handy when you need a card fast!!

Nobody puts Humphrey in the corner!

…… well unless it is Humphrey’s Corner and then it is ok. Day 2 of the sneak peeks – I hope you are enjoying them so far. I have seen so many positive comments about this brand new range and I am so excited. For those of you who do not know what I am talking about Crafter’s Companion has secured the license for Humphrey’s Corner – woop woop. This means there are going to be 6 stamps (with sentiments/accessory stamps) and a double Cd Rom packed full of papers, decoupage, borders etc etc. It will be launched on Ideal World on 24th May at 9pm so be there or be square!

How cute is this image – perfect for so many occassions. The papers are from the CD Rom and the sentiment comes with this stamp. Look at that little snail ….. not something I usually like but in this case I will make an exception!!!

Good morning world, I am officially the world’s worst patient …. why does a simple cold me you feel so horrid? Hopefully it will be gone soon. I have the added joy of a trip to the dentist for a crown prep (not the nice ones that sit on your head covered in diamonds) – must admit I am terrified at the thought.

I am so excited to let you all in on a BIG secret ....... would you like to meet the newest addition to Crafter's Companion???? It is a very famous elephant and I am in LOVE!!!!!! Music Saves My Soul Saturday

Hello, so sorry I am late but only been home a little while after my wonderful couple of days with my hubby. It was freezing at the races yesterday but we had an absolutely wonderful day despite the weather. I love looking at all the dresses, shoes and hats ..... some good and some .... well, lol.... better not say :o)

I have chosen a real blast from the past this week. I just loved Bananarama so much when I was younger - the tunes were so catchy. I know it is completely manufactured pop but hey, sometimes that is all you want.

This was one of my faves but there are lots that I used to sing and dance along to haha. Remember to add your name and link below so we can listen. Lili of the Valley

Hi there, sorry I am a little late but it is my birthday week (did I mention lol) and I am so busy having a wonderful time with my hubby. It is his birthday today so Happy Birthday darling. We are going to the races tomorrow and I can’t wait, have got my new dress and shoes (plus accessories …. just has to be done) and hubby is all suited and booted so it should be a great day.
