Good morning to you and woohoo, Friday at last! Tine for a new challenge on Just Magnolia and because it is the first Friday in the month that means it is our Special Monthly Challenge sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. Originally the theme was to try cracked glass technique .... boy oy boy did we have some headaches with this. The DT have had all sorts of tales to tell including one about a bearded lady, rofl. Anyway .... we have decided that you can try this technique if you like however from now on our monthly challenges will probably just be anything goes ..... much simpler!
I would just like to mention a little something to the fabulous Heidi from Simon Says Stamp ...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEETIE!
Thanks so much for your continued support xxx
So here is my attempt - oh my lord what a time I had - I didn't have any clear embossing powder so made a trip out and got some from a local shop. For a little twist I added a layer of holographic embossing powder to give it some shimmer.
Anyhoo, this really is not the technique for me so I promptly coloured another Mermaid Tilda straight away and replaced her on my card ..... ahhhhhh that's better! How much are you all loving the new Magnolia Doo Hickey Dies .... Oh my lord I love them! (I can't believe how the colours look different in natural light compare to my daylight lamp)
Challenges
There ..... all finished - phew ... feel better now things are back to normal lol. Have a wonderful day and enjoy your weekend when it arrives!

I much prefer the new version of Tilda,I just dont get this crackled effect Idea,I think if I sent a card like this in the post that the recipient would blame the postman for damaging it lol! The New cards just great!
Just stunning.
Sending you lots of smiles, Irena :)
fab card Marcea :-) gorgeous image and the colours are lovely :-) ,, what a shame ,, all that effort for the cracked glass only to be thrown away and replaced :-/ I must admit I do prefer the 2nd option tho :-)

I´m with everyone else, much prefer your 2nd card cos I can really admire your fabulous shading and what a gorgeous colour combo it is. Looks like you may help me spend some pennies cos those dies are TDF.
