Simon Says – Dies to die for

Hi everyone and welcome to another challenge with Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog. This has ben the busiest week I have had in months if not years and my head is in a spin. I have got Ryan off to uni (a few tears), visited my parents now that they have moved back to the UK, settling into my new job and have worked 39 hours in 3 days!!!! Not bad going hey. I am now off work until next Tuesday and I am heading off to Scotland tomorrow until Monday for my school reunion!!!! I am so excited! After that life should settle down and I should be able to resume my crafting duties :o)

So onto our theme this week ……

Dies to die for

All the DT are using dies and/or stamps by My Favourite Things and we would love you to use them to if you have them although this is not compulsary.

I must apologise for the dreadful picture but it was very late when it was taken – pics will be better next week I promise

Music Saves My Soul Saturday

Morning ....... I can't believe it is Saturday already!!!!! It is a mad weekend this time in the Watkins' household - Ryan goes to uni tomorrow so I am busy trying to get him all packed up ...... I am so happy for him but sad for me :o(

My choice this week was really easy - I love these remixes and this was a perfect one with Ryan heading off tomorrow ..... check out his other remixes on YouTube - they are fab

I am sure Ryan's freshers week will be pretty crazy too ..... think I am better not knowing lol

Hi there, me again and this time I have a really gorgeous new image to share with you all. I have just fallen in love with this sweet image by Crissy Armstrong. Here is this months DT card for Sundays with Crissy – our theme is Friendship!

This little beauty is called Birdie Friend and is available from Whimsy Stamps. 

Isn’t she adorable!!!

The gorgeous papers are Summer Breeze by First Edition and are as sparkly as you can get ….. scrum! The little sentiment is by Whiff of Joy and seemed perfect for this image. I was very brave and stamped it on after I had coloured the image ….. thank goodness it was straight!

Morning all, I am really enjoying my new job so far but I am ready for my day off today – my brain is saturated with lots if new information and it needs a little  rest lol.

I haven’t had any time to craft this week but I do have my DT card for this weeks Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog …… our theme is SING IT (a song or film title inspired card)

Hi guys, a super quick post because I am writing this at 5am …… I have had my first shift in A&E and I love it. Getting ready for my next 13 hour shift today so lots to get sorted!!!!

 

This week on Papertake Weekly we want to see Things with Wings

 

 

How adorable is this stamp! It is one of the brand new Humphrey’s Corner christmas stamps from Crafter’s Companion which will launch tonight on Ideal World/Create and Craft’s Pick of the Day!!! The sentiments and papers are also from the release – how gorgeous!

 

There are 12 new stamps and a fabulous double disc CD-Rom which is crammed full of the usual goodies – love this release and I am sure you will too. I will pop back later with more links and news tonight when I get home from work xxxx

Music Saves My Soul Saturday .... on Sunday and a sorry too!

Hi there, oh my word where is the time going ..... since I handed my notice in at work life has just got crazy. I have been chasing my tail and I am set for another couple of crazy weeks but after that things should settle down. So this week has been busy. I finished my old job, got a tattoo, had my first solo demonstration day yesterday for Crafter's Companion and then up to Harrogate today for the GNPE .... phew!

And the madness continues ...... I start my new job tomorrow (eek). Then next weekend my son leaves for University ...... I am really proud because he managed to get one of only 4 trombone places at The Royal Northern College of Music. I can't believe he is old enough to be leaving home, I am delighted for him but sad for me. The following Thursday I head off for my High School Reunion which lasts until the Monday after .... they sure know how to party in Campbeltown! I can't wait to go back and see everyone. It is a beautiful part of the world and I am sure I will appreciate it much more now I am older. For those who do not know where it is - well if you come back in 2 weeks I will fill you in on all the details!

So a crazy time ahead so please just put up with my lack of posts. My poor old body will have to adjust to shifts - I will be doing 13 hour work days plus travelling so lord knows how I will get on, lol.

Ok, so are you ready for a bit of music after all of that! Good ......

My song this week was on the radio on the way home from Harrogate today ..... I am impressed that I remembered it hahahahaha ..... hope you like it ....

Simon Says …… Fold it!

 

 

Good morning, what a horrible day it is here today. Well I am now ‘in between jobs’ ….. finished my current job yesterday and I start my new job on Monday …..ooh I am scared, lol. It was so sad saying goodbye to my work colleagues and there a few tears shed. I am really looking forward to getting started in A&E though and it is the right move for me I am sure.

Onto the job in hand though and we have a great challenge for you all to join in with this week on Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog. First though can I say a BIG thankyou to all of you who tool part in last weeks hop and treasure hunt – hope you all had fun!!

Our challenge this week is to multifold your card or creation!!!!!! The DT have also used papers by My Mind’s Eye and Jillibean Soup for your inspiration.

I have made a concertina card using the MME Bloom & Glow papers – these are some of my all time favourites. I punched the edge to make it a little prettier and popped the sweet CC Designs image on the front – links all below.

Music Saves My Soul Saturday

Good afternoon .... sorry I am late ... it was my leaving do with work last night and I had a great time. Anyway, I have been trying to decide on a song for you this week without much success lol. Here is a pic of my having a bit of a dance after one or two too many drinks last night lol .....

…. Oh how rude, lol…. well no,not really. It is just that I have two posts for you today so I thought I would combine them into one bigger post instead.

First of all is my DT card for this weeks Lili of the Valley Challenge Blog …… we have a really lovely sketch by Pops and lots of us are giving you sneak peeks of the new girly christmas stamps – oooh they are so pretty!!!!

Isn’t this just a lovely image – I am sure you have seen some of the others already but make sure you pop by the other DT’s blogs for more sneak peeks.

My second card is for the monthly Crafter’s Companion Challenge Blog …… our theme this month is christmas so what better excuse to use one of the ever so popular Humphrey die cut decoupage kits.

There, short and sweet ….. of to the gym now – I have a big reunion in 3 weeks – 3 whole days spent with my high school buddies, it is going to be a massive event. The committee have worked so hard. It is over 20 years since I saw most of them so lots of catching up to do – I will keep you all posted nearer the time
