Stamp Something / Just Magnolia

Good morning and time for a double whammy of cards from me today. Both different from my usual but hey, it is always good to try something new. As I mentioned last week, we are saying goodbye to several members of our DT on Stamp Something and as a way of honouring their hard work we are spotlighting a different member each week. This week it is Melissa's turn and we have had to make a 'birthday something' using her favourite colour .... pink.

I have decided to case one of her cards and have a go at her beautiful clean lines. Not like my usual fussy, more is more type that I tend to do, lol.

I actually really enjoyed making this card and who knows, i may make more like it too ... although I had to sit on my hands not to stick on a few flowers and charms, lol. Please pop over and check out Melissa's blog ... will miss you sweetie :o)

Here is my card for this weeks challenge on Just Magnolia - can you believe it is week 4 already!!!!!! Thankyou all so much for your continued support. This weeks challenge is 'In Stitches' but do not worry if you have not got a sewing machine. You can do any type of stitching - machine, hand or even faux. I am amazed by the DT's cards - you will not believe some of the stitching is faux - wow, what talent!

I decided to get my pricky tool and a stitching pattern out to create some corners for my image. I had to chop it about a bit to fit but I think it worked out ok in the end. I used blending filament to stitch with becauseI liked the shiny finish but boy was it a nightmare to work with!

Another bunch of paper roses - I am loving these so expect to see a few more popping up on my cards over the coming weeks.
Tooth update - still sore and I now feel really yuck on my new antibiotics. I hope these work and that the sickness is worth it :o(
I won't even be able to have a glass of wine with my birthday meal this year (sob).
A final note (how old do I feel), it is my son's last day at High School today. Where have the years gone? It is his prom tonight so I will post piccies over the weekend.
I hope you all have a wonderful day.
