PIF ... Pass it forward ... wanna play???

Well it has been my lucky week. I have been really lucky to have received 2 'PIFs'. I had never heard of these before until last week when I was bloghopping. Imagine my delight when I was jammy enough to scoop 2 of them!! I think it is a lovely idea and basically you send a little something to the first 3 people that comment to your PIF post (bit of a mouthful, lol). I am sure you will agree that this is a lovely way to brighten someones day.

My first PIF that arrived was from Lisa yesterday. I was so excited when I got home from work and opened my package. She made the most gorgeous wallet for the stamped images to go in, it really is so cute. There was also some lovely stickers and gems too as well as some silver starry foil (sorry, I dont know the right name, lol). I have included a picture below of my goodies ....Thankyou Lisa, I will have fun with these!!

As if that wasn't enough I came home today to another fantastic package from Cathy , my lovely friend and fellow DT member from ABC Challenge blog. Cathy included the most gorgeous Sarah Kay card too, a real beauty. I can't believe how lucky I am to get even more great images, ribbons, gems and flowers. I will certainly able to make good use of these!!

Oki doki, so because I have been lucky enough to get 2 fab PIF's I will send the first 6 people to comment on this post a little goody bag too. Remember though, if you are lucky enough to get a PIF you must post it on your blog when it arrives and offer a new one out to the first 3 lovely people who comment. Good luck, if you win I will contact you for your address.

Whiff of Joy #1 / CCT #29

Hi there, happy Saturday to you all!! I have had the most fun ever making this card. I really didn't want to finish it - that's how much I was enjoying it. I have finally got my hands on some of the wonderful Whiff of Joy stamps and I am in my element. They are gorgeous ... I am in love and am going to have to get some more very, very soon!!! So, here it is ... my card for the very first Whiff of Joy challenge. For the first challenge we had a great sketch to follow by Katharina (who I still love even though I didn't make the DT - I'll be back in 2 months for the next call, lol!!!). This card came together so easy although it ended up completely different to how I originally planned it to be. I can't wait for next weeks challenge ... wonder what it will be?

Because I managed to get a few sparkly bits here and there, lol, I have also entered it for this weeks Cute Card Thursday which is 'lots of sparkle'. I added some enchanted gold EP to one of my flowers and it really changed the look of it - will deffo use this more on my brads and flowers as xmas approaches I think. I made the plaited ribbon by taking 3 colours of papermania's sparkling trims and errr... plaited them together.

Whiff of Joy 'Willow' coloured with prismas, papers from Anita's Classic Cristmas Red pack, Cuddly Buddly sentiment heat embossed with Gold EP, Papermania ribbon, Prima flowers, brads and gems from stash, glitter gel pens to colour holly on sentiment.

Whiff of Joy Guest Designer Call....

... take 2! I know I have submitted a card already but come on, let's face it, surely this DT call is worth more than one card!!!!! Just incase you have been living on the moon for the past couple of weeks (although I expect the news has reached the moon already, lol), there is an incredible opportunity for 1 lucky person to be a guest designer for 2 months for the fabulous Whiff of Joy stamps. Details can be found on the mega talented Katharina's blog but you better hurry because there are only a few hours left to enter. I have chosen to use sketch #22 for my card so it's fingers crossed (and toes, and arms and ..... ). Goodluck to everyone who has entered!!!

Proper piccie will be taken tomorrow when the sun returns ;o) - have done it ... aren't I good -x-

Sugar Nellie coloured with prismas, papers from Making Memories 'Olivia' pack, Pink Petticoat sentiment, flowers, gems and brads from stash, ribbon from another top (really need to get some more ribbons ordered!)

Papertake Weekly / Children in Need

Hi everyone, well I am making use of my day off today ... card number 2!!! Papertake Weekly have come up with a great idea this week. They want everyone to make yellow cards and send them in to help raise money for children in need. I am really pleased with this card and thought this cute stamp by Penny Black was perfect for Children in Need. Please pop over to their blog to have a look. If you can't make a card for the challenge then pop your hands in your pockets and please, pretty please make a donation to this important cause.

Penny black image coloured with prismas, papers printed from Pink Petticoat, nesties embossed with swiss dots folder (cuttlebug), rub on quote from DCWV, pearls from stash.

Thankyou to all the carers - a very important card!

This is perhaps one of the most important cards I have made for a while. As most of you do, I was bloghopping when I came across the most incredible blog, that I had to pause to take it all in. There is an incredible woman who is working very hard to raise awareness about Alzheimer's disease. Cammie has worked very hard at setting up a huge blog candy (over $1000 worth of goodies) for 1 lucky winner. As part of the conditions you have to make a card for someone who is a carer. Please let this be the reason you enter - take time out to make someone smile in their busy day. I am sending my card to the home where Cammie's grandmother was looked after. For more details follow this link to enter . I was moved by reading lots of the comments that people have left. Spread the word and let as many people as you can know about this wonderful cause.

I have used the sketch provided by Sketch Saturday for this card - brilliant sketch girls, thankyou.

'Tweet' from Pink Petticoat coloured with prismas, papers by DCWV, flowers by prima, brads and gems from stash.
