ABC Challenge ... F is for ....

Good morning my lovlies, how are you all??? I hope you are all having a good week. I am glad to say it is my day off today but have lots planned. Getting my hair cut and coloured (got to look lovely for next weekend!!) this morning, then I have my contact lens check (got to be able to see next weekend, lol) this afternoon. Also HAVE to squeeze in a starbucks with cake cos it is the Wednesday law and I didn't have one last week :o(
I am rambling but I must shut up long enought to tell you about this weeks challenge on ABC

F is for FLOWERS

Exciting news too because we have a guest designer this week!!! I am so thrilled that the wonderfully talented Kim Piggott has joined us this week. You must visit her blog, although I expect many of you are regular visitors already. Kim makes the most breath-taking cards and her colouring is out of this world!

Here is my little card for this week. I was very brave and decided to make my own roses for this weeks challenge after seeing a tutorial a couple of nights ago. Can I find it now to link to it ..... nope!! If I find it again I will edit my post. Thankfully I read the tut right through and had a pretty good idea how to make them. You basically just need a 6 petal punch, some glue and a cocktail stick - how easy!!

Another Gorjuss Girl although a naughty friend of mine is trying to brainwash me into thinking they are evil spirits (bad bad friend, lol .... you know who you are!!!) and I almost agreed .... eek!! I do, however, still love them and will continue to do so until they have all been inked up at least once :o)

Here is a close up of my flowers (if you click the pic you can see it even closer still!!). I have to admit I am rather chuffed with how they turned out, especially as it was my first attempt :o)
I added a litter bit of stickles for some sparkle but apart from that kept my card quite simple. I really wanted the flowers to be the main focus rather than the image. I hope lots of you join in this week - it is a really easy challenge so lets see you all playing along!! Remember to check out the rest of the DT's cards - there are some gorgeous examples. A final thankyou again to Kim for joining us !
Have a fabulous day

Inspirational Card Sketches #8

Good morning .... is it Friday yet???? No????? Hmmmm not good .... I am exhausted already - just one of those weeks! Never mind, the good news is that it is Tuesday so this means it is time for another great sketch on Inspirational Card Sketches . We are sposored this week by That's jazzy stamp dreams and there is a fab stamp set up for grabs :o)

As soon as I saw this weeks sketch I knew it was perfect to create a gift tag. I wanted to make a matching tag to a card I made a few days ago .... but the tag is pretty big so I guess that means it will need a big gift to go with it, lol!

Here is a closer look at sweet little Tilda - isn't she gorgeous! Am loving glamour dust now for ALL wings - it is so sparkly!
Thanks for all last weeks entries. Hope to see lots of you joining in - how lovely to make a lovely gift tag (perhaps for your mum this weekend) for that special present. Check the rest of the DT's cards for even more great ideas :o)
Have a great day!

Penny Black Saturday Challenge #40 / Win a Martha Stewart Valentine Lace Punch / Singalong Saturday

Hi there, it's the weekend .... yippee!!!! Thanks to all the wonderful entries we had for our recipe challenge last week, so lovely to see so many of you taking part. We have a fabulous sketch by our very own Tracie for you all to play with this week.

Here is my take on it. My friend is having a baby next month so I decided to be organised for once and get her card made early :o) This stamp is always a winner with me for new babies and I just love it.

The papers are from Cuddly Buddley and they are gorgeous to work with. I have punched the flowers with my retro flower punch and used my Martha Stewart Doiley Punch for the centre strip of paper (read below for details how to win a Martha Stewart punch). I found these little fabric flowers in my stash that I had forgotten all about and added the for a bit more interest.

Shock, horror!!! Yes it is true - I have decorated the inside :o) I think it is because I can just print as much paper as I need. I must get over the fear of using my DPs for the insides because it really does finish the card perfectly. It was my friends last day at work yesterday - she has now started her maternity leave. I made her a matching card with a Bella image but I forget to take a piccie before I gave it to her. Thought it would be nice to have similar cards for the mummy and baby :o)
I hope you all have fun with this weeks sketch - I love it and it is now a firm fave of mine .... Thanks Tracie!!

Stamp Something ..... Green

Good morning and woohoo it's Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Time for another challenge on Stamp Something and we would love to see something GREEN.

This week we are sponsored by Rare Image Stamps and I have used this gorgeous stamp from their garden set . You can't get much greener than growing your own veggies but I have added some lovel;y papers by BG just to make sure it is green enough!

The chipboard stickers are also by Basic Grey and went quite well with this card. Coloured as always with my prismacolor pencils and sansador. I hope you get chance to look at the other cards by the truly inspirational DT. Have a great weekend .... I am rewarding my hard work this week with a nice night out tonight with darling hubby. Have a great Friday!!!

Daisy & Dandelion / Lili of the Valley DT cards

How exciting ..... it is finally time for the very first challenge on Daisy and Dandelion and I have been looking forward to this so much :o) . The theme for this weeks challenge is ...

NEW BEGINNINGS

This can be a baby card, a new home card or even a friendly welcome card. Just let your creativity take over and have fun.

I have used the super cute Onion - how sweet is this baby elephant! I stamped him onto some white card and then created a frame using one of the gorgeous floral border stamps in the Pickles and Onion stamp set. I then coloured it with my usual prismas.

The beautiful pastel papers are from the Daisy and Dandelion paper pack and are perfect for a baby card. Finishing touches are some flowers from my stash and a computer generated sentiment.

I hope lots of you take part and have fun with this weeks challenge. Make sure you don't miss the other wonderful creations from our brand new DT!

Another new Design Team for me today and this time it is the wonderful Lili of the Valley . I was delighted when they asked me to join their brilliant DT with fellow newbie Risa .

The challenge this week is .....

MOTHERS' DAY

I have used Tilda with Rose as my image and coloured her again with my prismacolors. I love these papers and haven't used them in so long. They are from Papermania's Exquisite pack and the brown papers are BG. The lace was sent to me in a RAK (thanks sweetie) and I have attached a little heart charm with some jump rings that I got from Joanna Sheen (the little pearls are also from JS).
My fab MS doily punch has been working overtime (need to get more of these border punches ordered!!) and I love them layered up like this.

Ribbon and flowers from stash and think that's about it. Please make sure you check out everyone's cards in the DT - they are a talented bunch and give so much inspiration. Finally, huge congratulations to Donalda who has a new baby grandson - there are some gorgeous photos on her blog so please pay a visit and say hi :o)

ABC Challenge - E is for ....

Morning all, wow, I can hardly believe it is Wednesday already. This week/month/year is just flying by!!! So I expect you have all had a pretty good guess at the theme this week on ABC , not too difficult to guess .....

E is for Easter

As you can see I have made a very tradional card .... well, ok, maybe not but it does have a chick on it! I wanted to do something a little bit more modern and these papers and image from Pink Petticoat were just what I had in mind. This is a new colour combo for me - pink and navy - and I really do like it, you will see this combo again mark my words.

The little flowers were made with my retro flower punch and the pink pearls were from Joanna Sheen, although I think just about everywhere sells them now.
A big thankyou to you all who joined in last week. Make sure you visit the other cards by the design team for some wonderful inspiration.

Inspirational Card Sketches #7

Good morning to you all and welcome to another great sketch this week on ICS . A great big thankyou to you all who entered last week, it is so nice to see some of you coming back again for more sketches each week. The sketch this week is absolutely GORJUSS!!!!!

I haven't made an A5 card for a while but this sketch is perfect for this size card and I knew I just had to use this wonderful stamp. The papers were a free download from Patti Pickilicious Printables by the mega talented Kirsty Wiseman . I absolutely love them and am so excited that she will be doing demos in a couple of weeks at Harrogate!!

This is the first time I have stamped something around the edge of my image and I am really pleased with it. Quite like the contrast of the swirls to the geometric design on the papers. It is also the first time I have given an image black hair - I was actually worrying about how to do it, lol. Finishing touches are some glittered flowers from Joanna Sheen and the brads and pearls were from my stash.
I really hope you can join us this week. Make sure you check out the other DT cards - they are a talented bunch and offer such a variety of styles. Have a great day everyone!

Think blogger has stolen my signature thingy so just a great big kiss from me instead
MWAH!!!!
