Simon Says Stamp - Guest Designer ... Week 1

Good morning ... I bet you didn't expect to see me today did you. Well here I am and I am delighted to be the Guest Designer for Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog for the next 4 challenges. I feel so honoured because I love this blog and it is crammed full of such amazing talent .... thankyou ladies :o)

The challenge this week is a colour challenge ...... you have to use pink or blue with green and brown. There is also an optional twist .... to use a Penny Black stamp if you have one but you don't have to use it to join in. there are oodles and oodles of gorgeous Penny Black stamps and lots more to drool over at Simon Says Stamp so grab a cuppa and pop over for a browse - Heidi has so many delicious things to tempt you with. The winner of this weeks challenge can win a wonderful spending spree worth $25!!!

I love this stamp so much and it always makes me smile. The beautiful papers were sent to me by Tracy at DTDF and are from the GCD 12 x 12 Cloisonne Collection Pad - if you love pinks you will ADORE these papers!!! Another beautiful punch by Martha Stewart, thisone is 'Lattice' and it gives such a pretty finish. The roses are a mixture from Tabbycrafts and Wild Orchid crafts and the pretty gem flowers and pin are from Crafty Feeling and the sentiment is by Craftwork cards (also available to purchase from DTDF).

Having my hair done this morning, think it might be time to say goodbye to my fringe .... only had it a few weeks but still not sure about it .... what do you think .... I am the one in the middle

 Materials

Oh my, how much I enjoyed making this card. Lots of new goodies to play with which is always a great way to start your card don't you agree. I am still inking up my fabulous Spring kit from Magnolia and I have to say I think it is the best one for so long .... the images are all so beautiful. I have also cut into my scrummy new Lilac Avenue papers (Kaiser Craft) which I got from the ever so lovely Heidi from Simon Says Stamp .... How I love purple :o)
The blooms are a mix of Wild Orchid Crafts and Crafty Feeling. The little dew drops are also from Crafty Feeling - I love the shade of green, so pretty. The ribbon is from The Paper Mill Shop and is a real bargain and the cute green flowery ribbon is from my lovely friend Terry ... thanks sweetie. Oooh almost forgot my Stardust Stickles from the wonderful Tracy at DTDF.
I hope you all have a fab weekend - my fridge is so full of food for a family BBQ on Sunday that I dread to think what we will do if it rains ..... I am sure it will be gorgeous. Byeeeeee and enjoy the weather whatever you are doing xxx

Good morning to you all, what a gorgeous sunny day it is although there is still a little bit of a frost in the garden!! Let's hope it stays sunny all day. Thankyou to all of you who entered the last LOTV challenge - there were over 200 who entered .... WOW!!!!! This week we have a fabulous sketch - of course I have complicated matters by rotating AND flipping it but you all know I like making things complicated, lol.

Materials

I have used the really gorgeous stamp called 'Wedding Couple' and I think they are the cutest bride and groom around. Did you know that you can get free postage on all orders until 21st May anywhere in the world with no minimum order so you know what to do .... pop on over and get stocked up with all your favourites! I have dug out another old beautiful Papermania paper pack which is so lovely for wedding cards. A couple of my favourite Martha Stewart punches have been used and of course the fab roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts. You can pick up the sentiments and pearls from DTDF too, Tracy has a fabulous range of embellies so have a good old nosey around the site.

Yoohoo, guess who is back and a little candy news too!

Hi there everyone, I bet you thought I had disappeared for good didn't you. So sorry for my extended absence. As you know I have been busy with University stuff but hopefully that is all out of the way now. My break away from all things crafty has really made me realise how much time I was spending away from Glen and Ryan and so I have sadly stepped down from a couple of challenge blogs. I really enjoyed my time with Crafts & Me and Sweet Pea Stampers and I would like to thank them for having me on their team and for being so understanding about my decision.

I am sure I have made the right decision and have already been enjoying the extra time with my family. I have been left with no mojo what so ever though but I have ventured back into my craft room this afternoon and I am going to get my copics back out and have a play again! Lord only knows if I can remember how to even make a card, it really seems so long sonce I was last here.

I am also going to be putting a little candy together for my birthday next week so pop back on Tuesday for more news about that!
