Lili of the Valley - One for the Boys!!

Morning, oh my ... what an eventful evening I had - I was waiting to pick my son up from band rehearsal when I got a phone call from my hubby telling me he had been in a car accident. A deer had run into the road which he hit. He then went off the road and into a tree. Thankfully he does not even have a scratch on him although we think the car will be written off. Needless to say I am feeling very thankful today and will be extra nice all day to him, lol.

Onto our challenge on Lili of the Valley and we have a good excuse to make a male card. I used to find it so difficult making these but now that Lili of the Valley have their super cute male stamps it is just so easy! They are all adorable!

I have used Lazy Afternoon and so have a few of the other DT members too ... he is very popular this week and no wonder!

I have been trying to use some different shades of my Copics for a change and I am enjoying trying some darker shades. I really love his green hat!

Just Magnolia ... We're all cracking up!

Good morning to you and woohoo, Friday at last! Tine for a new challenge on Just Magnolia and because it is the first Friday in the month that means it is our Special Monthly Challenge sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. Originally the theme was to try cracked glass technique .... boy oy boy did we have some headaches with this. The DT have had all sorts of tales to tell including one about a bearded lady, rofl. Anyway .... we have decided that you can try this technique if you like  however from now on our monthly challenges will probably just be anything goes ..... much simpler!

I would just like to mention a little something to the fabulous Heidi from Simon Says Stamp ...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEETIE!

Thanks so much for your continued support xxx

So here is my attempt - oh my lord what a time I had - I didn't have any clear embossing powder so made a trip out and got some from a local shop. For a little twist I added a layer of holographic embossing powder to give it some shimmer.

Anyhoo, this really is not the technique for me so I promptly coloured another Mermaid Tilda straight away and replaced her on my card ..... ahhhhhh that's better! How much are you all loving the new Magnolia Doo Hickey Dies .... Oh my lord I love them! (I can't believe how the colours look different in natural light compare to my daylight lamp)

Challenges

There ..... all finished - phew ... feel better now things are back to normal lol. Have a wonderful day and enjoy your weekend when it arrives!

Lili of the Valley - A Sketch

Good morning to you all. I hope you are having a good week so far. My trip to the lakes yesterday was replaced with staining the front door and working in the garden, lol. I did managed a trip to Starbucks as a reward for my efforts though :o)

I am dashing to work so will finish my post later on..... told you I would!

Just to let you know that of course, this is a new challenge for Lili of the Valley and it is a sketch, woohoo!

This week we are sponsored by the fabulous Wild Orchid Crafts - check out our challenge blog for details of the prize (wish I could enter!!!)

I have used the super cute James bear 'Wrapped in Tinsel' and have used oodles of stickles. Before the stickles it looked more like James bear getting ready for hen do in a pink fluffy feather boa .... 'nuff said, lol!
