Whiff of Joy christmas shimmer :o)

Evening, not often you get a late night visit from me but thought I would pop on and post my card for Whiff of Joy's birthday celebrations!!!! . Rach has made a gorgeous sketch for us all to follow and I just love it!



Yet another christmas card .... I am getting a nice little collection now and am so much more organised than last year. I really wanted to use this gorgeous image and also wanted my trusty pink/green combo. So, I thought if I am using non traditional colours I might as well use some of my favourite papers too (which have absolutely nothing christmassy about them at all, lol).

Now I have to confess to being in love with something new. Now I know you all use this and I am probably the last person in the whole of blogland to use it but OMG ...... I am officially in LOVE with Cosmic Shimmer! I have coloured my poinsettas with a pale pink copic and then sprayed to my hearts delight. Ooooh I just love the shimmer and cannot believe the difference it makes. I now want loads more colours so will be getting some asap!

Ok, I think I have probably gone on a little bit too much about that but you know where I am coming from .... gonna shut up now cos my poor tooth is still playing up. I have managed to get an appointment at the dentist for Thursday morning to start my treatment (sob sob, I hate pain).

Pink Gem Designs DT card

Good morning everyone, Monday morning again and ouch - I am suffering with toothache again. I can't believe what a year I have had with my teeth, I am so tired because I have been up most of the night :o(
I just wanted to share this christmas card I made with you all. My first DT parcel arrived for Pink Gem Designs and I could wait to ink her up. She is called Holly jumper Milly (will add link after work) and she is so sweet.

I love these papers, so perfect for a girly card don't you think.Lots of sparkle and shine everywhere .... can you have too much??? Of course not, lol.

I added this lovely rich glittered fun flock to the trim of her clothes - it is so gorgeous IRL. Plus 1 or 2 gems around the edge of the nestie (or perhaps a few more, hehe).

Off to get ready for work and pop a few painkillers - hope it improves but I have a feeling that I am headed for another root filling :o(

Anyone for Anya

Good morning and isn't it lovely with all this sunshine we have got today - what a glorious day! We have such a brilliant challenge for you this week, such a great idea .........

You're Anya!!

That's right, you have to choose an Anya image that you think represents you best ..... how much fun is that!

This was an easy one for me. I suppose the obvious choice would be to pick nurse Anya but hey, this is really me ....... shopping queen! I think all us crafters like a spot of shopping and nothing makes me happier buying new stash or new clothes (or make up or jewellery or .........). This beauty is from the very first Miss Anya and you can buy her from Dies to Die For.




I have followed a lovely sketch on this weeks Sketch Saturday but you had to also include pets ..... well I don't have any unless I am an IT girl and there is a little pooch in one of my bags ..... hmmm perhaps not, lol. I have also used this weeks colours on Copic Colour Challenge which were G02, Y11 and V15.

That's it from me for now. I am going to finish off another card and then be a lazy moo for the rest of the day I think ..... or maybe make another card - oh decisions decisions.

PBSC - Autumn breezes

Good morning and welcome to the perfect day for our new challenge on Penny Black Saturday Challenge . Why is it a perfect day??? Well outside it is blustery and raining, a real autumn day ...... guess what our challenge is ......

AUTUMN BREEZES

Well this made me get my thinking cap on because I do not have any autumn type PB stamps so I started looking at papers etc for inspiration. I just loved these funky papersand hey, if it says autumn who am I to argue, lol. So with colours sorted out I thought about what I like about autumn ...... shopping!!!!! Yep, time for new clothes and there are loads of sales on right now so problem solved ..... perfect image. Lol,and I bet you thought I had just picked a random image .... tut tut!


So there you go - you have no excuse not to play along. Just choose something that reminds YOU of autumn and get creating.

Just Magnolia Monthly Challenge

Good morning, well it is Friday and that means time for fun with Just Magnolia BUT ...... we have decided to make the first Friday of the month our Monthly Challenge. We have merged our other blog with the weekly challenge blog to help us all from getting confused. So you have a month to take part in this challenge and we will also be back next week with our usual weekly challenge.... hope I am making sense, lol.



The monthly challenge is to make your own hand made flowers. There is a wonderful tutorial by Michelle on the blog for you to follow but you can make any type of flower you want to. Please have a look at all the DTs cards for ideas and inspiration - they have all produced such lovely cards and flowers. The prize this month is a whopping $50 gift certifcate by the lovely Heidi from Simon Says Stamp .... thankyou so much for the generous prize hun!




So here are my flowers - all made with various punches and secured with a brad in the centre. I was inspired by a card by the talented Marlene (will link up later cos computer being silly again). I am surprised how well they turned out and I am going to have to remember these for future cards. How many times do you not have the right coloured flower (even with the zillions of flowers we all have). Not a problem any more - just get punching from the backing paper - genius! I have followed a sketch this week ... details will be on later, lol.



I can't go without a closer look at gorgeous little Tilda - I still adore this image so much and I know that a certain lady at work does too. She curses me because she always has to buy cards with her on even when she doesn't need them, lol .... think she is a Magnolia addict too.
On a final note I have woken up to 2 bits of lovely news .... I have made the top 5 on Stamp Something from last weeks challenge (thanks girlies) and I have won Terry's candy too!!!!

How wonderful ... wags n whiskers

Oh boy, I don't often post about different companies and new releases on my blog but I really have to share this with you all. There are some seriously cute new stamps coming to town very soon with the launch of a brand new company! You will all have heard of the names associated with it ..... the fabulously talented Nikki Fairbairn and Lacey Stephens have come together to create this new stamp company. Now here is where it gets exciting. The illustrator is none other than Crissy Armstrong - OMG these are going to be amazing stamps!
